Mortal Kombat Mobile Patch Targets Shao Kahn, Sub-Zero, and Leatherface Bugs
Three characters central to MK Mobile's 11th anniversary meta are misbehaving, and a patch is incoming to correct Shao Kahn's damage output, Sub-Zero's passive, and Leatherface's assist.

If you pulled Diamond MK II Movie Shao Kahn during Mortal Kombat Mobile's 11th anniversary celebrations and noticed his damage numbers feeling off, you weren't imagining things. The official Mortal Kombat Mobile account confirmed a patch is on the way to fix incorrect damage output from Shao Kahn, a misfiring Sub-Zero passive, and a broken Leatherface assist, with timing details still to come.
The timing matters. The 11th anniversary update, which went live April 1, introduced Diamond MK II Movie Shao Kahn as a relentless damage dealer carrying the highest base Attack stat in the game. A character positioned as the hardest-hitting fighter on the roster outputting wrong damage values during the very window players are grinding to unlock or rank him up is about as bad as bugs come. Players can secure early access by completing the 11th Anniversary Kombat Pass with Premium+ purchased, or by finishing in the top three ranks of the Realm Klash PVP competition. If your Realm Klash results were shaped by incorrect Shao Kahn damage in either direction, that's worth tracking.
The Leatherface issue has a specific trigger: when facing an Onslaught Sub-Zero equipped with Missile Gap, if Cryoshell activates and Missile Gap fires, Leatherface fails to trigger his Assist Attack, and the active character is left unresponsive while the Cryoshell is active. That combination is not obscure. Onslaught Sub-Zero has been a fixture of competitive team building, and the unresponsive active character is effectively a soft lock that can cost you a fight. Any team running Leatherface in an assist slot against that matchup has been playing with a broken kit.
Here's your pre-patch and post-patch checklist. Right now, pause heavy resource investment in Leatherface as a team assist piece and hold off on building around Sub-Zero's passive until the fix is confirmed live. After the patch drops, take Leatherface into a test fight against an Onslaught Sub-Zero with Missile Gap, trigger the Cryoshell, and verify his assist fires correctly. Do the same with Sub-Zero's passive under actual match conditions. For Shao Kahn, run his damage output against a known-stat opponent before and after to confirm the correction landed. If any of the three still behave incorrectly after the patch is live, screenshot the fight, note the opponent loadout, and send it through the support channel, since the development team is clearly tracking these actively.
The anniversary update also brought back Klassic Tower Events and Klassic Challenge events, with Diamond Klassic Baraka available through the Kombat Pass and daily free rewards running throughout. If you have been working through those event towers with a team that relies on Leatherface assists or Sub-Zero's passive, consider whether bugged behavior inflated or deflated your results before the patch arrives. Ranked and event progress during this window could reflect inflated Shao Kahn damage in the wrong direction, and there is no retroactive fix once scores are locked.
The fix has no confirmed drop date yet, but the fact that the official account flagged all three characters by name signals this is being treated as a priority correction, not something buried in a future major update.
