PUBG Mobile Version 4.3 Brings Sci-Fi Mode, MrBeast and Jujutsu Kaisen for 8th Anniversary
PUBG Mobile's Version 4.3 turns Erangel into a sci-fi battleground and brings MrBeast, Jujutsu Kaisen's Ryomen Sukuna, and a new OneRepublic song for the game's 8th anniversary.

Eight years in, PUBG Mobile is not coasting. Version 4.3, now live and running through May 10, arrived as the game's biggest anniversary patch yet, transforming Erangel into something closer to a sci-fi film set than a familiar battle royale map, while stacking collaborations with anime giant Jujutsu Kaisen, content creator MrBeast, and rock band OneRepublic into a single update.
The centerpiece is the Evolving Universe mode, which drops intergalactic features across Erangel: spacetime distortions, dynamic rail systems, revamped urban zones, and new racing gameplay. The mode also resurfaces a fan favorite that had not appeared since Version 2.1, making its Erangel-exclusive return here. Livik gets its own treatment with updates to the Music Hall and Racing Club, while Miramar adds a new racing mini-game. A new Wilderness Fun Gameplay feature lets players launch themselves into the battlegrounds via parachute challenges for a shot at rewards.
Evolving Universe also introduces five passive skill specializations built around different playstyles. "You can select a speciality before the match begins or while waiting on Spawn Island, then gradually level it up during the round," as PocketGamer described it. A new Energy Rank system runs alongside those specializations, tracking player behavior and progression to unlock themed vaults scattered across the map.
The Jujutsu Kaisen crossover, which ran from March 13 to April 12, brought back phase-one outfits for Yujin Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, Nobara Kugisaki, and Satoru Gojo, while adding brand new character sets for Suguru Geto and Ryomen Sukuna. Players could also obtain sets and fighter covers for Choso and Aoi Todo, plus the Cursed Corpse Tsukamoto Buddy.

The anniversary's branding pivot is called "For Every #1," a concept Krafton described as one that "underscores the team's commitment to helping every player become a better version of themselves," celebrating personal milestones from first eliminations to squad chicken dinners. Alongside it came a comprehensive UI overhaul built around cleaner visuals and refined interactions, designed to surface personalized content without cluttering the core experience.
Version 4.3 also introduced a card collection system that rewards progress with a three-level upgradable Splendid Assault firearm finish, available free by hitting certain card milestones. Completing a limited card series unlocks a Gallery, and players with seven-year-old accounts can claim an exclusive top-tier Holo Card. The RPA18, available from March 15 to May 15, launched with a pre-order window that opened March 8; new RPA users could unlock it for 60 UC, down from the original 720 UC.
On the collaboration front, MrBeast joined as a partner alongside OneRepublic, who contributed a new song for the anniversary. World of Wonder, Metro Royale, Classic mode, and Home mode all received updates as part of the patch's broader sweep, though the anniversary's pull is clearly the combination of Evolving Universe's sci-fi overhaul and one of the most stacked crossover lineups the game has assembled in its eight-year run.
