Ragnarok X: Next Generation Raises Level Cap to 100, Adds New City and Dungeons
ROX players can now push past level 90 to reach the new level 100 cap, unlocking Al De Baran, the iconic Clock Tower dungeon, and Season 3 War of the Chosen PvP all at once.

The level grind in Ragnarok X: Next Generation just got a new ceiling. Nuverse pushed the base level cap from 90 to 100 in a late March 2026 update that simultaneously opened Al De Baran, brought Season 3 War of the Chosen PvP online, and handed longtime adventurers the most ambitious content refresh the game has seen in recent memory.
Al De Baran arrived as ROX's first level 100 map, built around the Clock Tower dungeon that veterans of the original Ragnarok Online will immediately recognize. The zone introduced five new bosses: Morroc, Chimera, Time Holder, Mysteltainn, and Owl Duke, giving endgame players fresh MVP targets to hunt and new MINI encounters to grind through. Level 100 equipment is available alongside the cap raise, and while enchantment levels remain capped at 20, Al De Baran enchantments now offer higher bonus values than anything previously available in the game.
The update also added the Refinement Protection Stone, a quality-of-life feature that prevents gear loss during high-risk refinement attempts, one of the more frequently requested additions from the community.
War of the Chosen Season 3 returned with intense 5v5 PvP battles and a new reward structure built around two tiers of incentive. Participants earn WOC Coins exchangeable for exclusive seasonal rewards, including S3 costumes and mounts, but the real prize sits above the currency shop: the team that fights its way to number one earns a custom statue in the Hall of Fame, permanently visible across servers.

Server maintenance windows ran from March 23 through March 26, with event packs and timed gift bundles rolling out in phases through March 30 depending on region. Developer notes accompanying the patch emphasized attention to balancing across early- and late-game content to prevent the level 100 itemization from creating runaway power creep across zones below the new cap.
For guilds and competitive rosters, the combination of fresh endgame dungeons, new MVP spawn tables, and an active PvP season means the meta is effectively in reset mode. Class builds that peaked at level 90 need recalibration, and guild leaders organizing for WoC brackets are working with new gear ceilings and fresh skill unlocks as the patch settles in. Nuverse's decision to bundle the PvE expansion and PvP season in a single drop signals a clear intent to pull the hardcore playerbase back into the game at the same time rather than stagger the competitive grind behind the leveling curve.
