Rush Royale Brings Pac-Man Ghosts and Retro Maze to Mobile Co-Op
Blinky, Inky, Pinky, and Clyde crash Rush Royale as minibosses in a retro 8-bit maze co-op event running March 10–24 on iOS and Android.

Pac-Man has chomped his way into Rush Royale, with MY.GAMES running a limited-time crossover event through March 24 that replaces the mobile tower defense game's standard maps with a retro 8-bit labyrinth straight out of the arcade classic. The event, titled PAC-MAN: Arcade, is live now on iOS and Android and pairs two players in a variant of Rush Royale's Endless Co-Op mode where the only objective is to survive as long as possible against escalating ghost waves.
Each match assigns temporary heroes locked to the crossover theme. One player controls Pac-Man, who focuses on boosting damage output, while the other takes the role of Duck, Rush Royale's mascot, whose job is tactical support to keep the team alive through increasingly brutal waves. The roles complement each other deliberately: pure offense paired with survivability, meaning coordination matters more than either player grinding solo.
Blinky, Inky, Pinky, and Clyde serve as minibosses and wave leaders throughout the run, and each of the four ghosts introduces distinct battlefield effects rather than simply scaling up in health. Scattered across the maze are power-ups lifted directly from the source material, including cherries and strawberries, which restore mana, boost abilities, and temporarily flip the ghosts into a vulnerable state. The map itself is rendered in bright 8-bit pixel art, designed to replicate the iconic maze of the original arcade cabinet.
The collaboration lands at a notable moment for both franchises. Rush Royale recently marked five years since launch and has surpassed 100 million downloads while generating more than $470 million in lifetime revenue, making it one of MY.GAMES' most commercially successful mobile titles. PAC-MAN is simultaneously celebrating its 45th anniversary, a milestone framed explicitly in the developer's own communications around the event.

"We've always wanted to collaborate with a truly legendary franchise like PAC-MAN, and this partnership felt like a natural fit from the start," said Alexey Kornev, Project Director of Rush Royale at MY.GAMES. "Rush Royale's unit-based gameplay aligns seamlessly with PAC-MAN's iconic characters and arcade mechanics, transforming the familiar Rush Royale co-op mode into a fresh, high-intensity challenge with deeper strategy and a collectible-driven progression loop. The result is an experience that blends nostalgia with discovery."
Developer messaging shared with Pockettactics positioned the event as a direct response to player demand, noting that the Rush Royale community had been vocal about wanting more high-profile crossovers: "Our community has been asking for more collaborations for quite some time, especially recalling some of our previous crossover projects. We listen closely to our players, and their interest in seeing iconic brands enter the Rush Royale universe absolutely influenced our decision." When asked whether more partnerships of this scale are planned, the response was direct: "Absolutely. Collaborations are an important part of how we evolve Rush Royale and keep the experience fresh for our players."
The PAC-MAN event runs until March 24, with a leaderboard element tied to Endless Co-Op run length giving competitive players a reason to grind beyond simply clearing the early ghost waves.
