Scopely will shut down Looney Tunes World of Mayhem on October 15, 2026, and the clock is already ticking on spending and downloads. In-app purchases end on August 16, the game disappears from app stores on August 23, and the official social channels close the same day purchases stop.

The company’s update gives players a clear runway: keep playing until the service ends, but make any final purchase decisions before August 16. After August 23, new players will not be able to download the game from app stores, and on October 15 the service itself goes offline. Scopely’s support center also now carries a help article labeled Sunset: Looney Tunes World of Mayhem, reinforcing that the shutdown is moving through a formal retirement process rather than a temporary maintenance window.

Looney Tunes World of Mayhem launched globally on December 13, 2018, with Scopely and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment bringing the mobile battler to players. Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Marvin the Martian and other classic Looney Tunes characters anchored the squad-based setup, giving the game one of the more recognizable licensed rosters in mobile. Nearly eight years later, that IP strength is no longer enough to keep the live service running.

The timing also underlines how unforgiving licensed mobile operations have become. A famous brand can drive a strong first impression, but long-term survival still depends on steady retention, regular content, and a monetization loop that can hold up against a crowded release calendar. When those pieces stop lining up, even a property with Warner Bros. cartoon muscle can be taken offline.

Scopely posted the update on July 15 and repeated the message on the game’s official social accounts, including a Facebook post that opened, “Hey Toonsters, We have some important news to share about the future of Looney Tunes: World of Mayhem.” For players still running squads and clearing the last stretch of content, the hard dates now matter more than the roadmap: August 16 for purchases, August 23 for the app stores, and October 15 for the final server shutdown.
