HoYoverse's "Champions Never Fall to the Past" update landed on March 24, and its centerpiece is the Hollow Champion competition, an unprecedented large-scale tournament hosted by TOPS that pulls Proxies into the fight for New Eridu glory.

The bracket draws in familiar factions like the Cunning Hares and Sons of Calydon alongside less expected entrants, including the Public Security's Metropolitan Order Division. Excitement has spread far beyond the city center, with even the Outer Ring buzzing as competitors converge to pursue high-stakes rewards, including the rare Porcelloy W-Engine.

Two new S-rank agents headline the version. Nangong Yu is the captain and lead dancer of the Angels of Delusion, an S-rank Ether Stun agent who enhances the team's Anomaly buildup against stunned enemies. Sunna and Aria of the Angels of Delusion debuted in Version 2.6, and Nangong Yu's arrival in 2.7 finally completes the trio. Her banner runs during the first half of Version 2.7, alongside a rerun for Yidhari.

Cissia, from the Metropolitan Order Division of the N.E.P.S., is an S-rank Electric Attack agent who enters combat with three stacks of Venom, each dealing Electric damage over time while temporarily boosting her CRIT Rate. She can generate additional stacks through her EX Special Attack and cash them in via Basic Attack: Serpent's Kiss, unleashing powerful bursts of damage at key moments. Cissia's banner runs in the second half of Version 2.7, alongside a rerun for Seed.

Outside the tournament, 2.7 adds a full slate of side content. At Lumina Square, the Simmer Hotpot Restaurant becomes the focus of a themed event where players assist Blaze with her latest predicament during a hot pot-inspired activity. A special mission from HSOS 6 challenges players to complete a relay-style combat mode using three separate squads of two characters each. The Simulated Battle Trial also gets updated with new enemy lineups and additional bonus mechanics, letting Proxies chase higher scores on a competitive leaderboard for rewards including Polychromes, a namecard, and exclusive titles.

HoYoverse simultaneously revealed a physical collector's edition for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series XS, arriving in Summer 2026 and priced at $59.99. The bundle includes an NFC-enabled acrylic modular standee stage with an Anby Edition acrylic standee, a physical game disc with premium cover art, a seven-card character photo set, a Proxy acrylic avatar card, a collector's character badge, a platform-exclusive postcard, and a digital redemption code for in-game items. Preorders are open now at participating retailers.
Version 2.7 is live on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, Xbox Series XS, Xbox Cloud Gaming, PC, iOS, and Android. Xbox players who need to manually trigger the update can find it through the dashboard under My Games & Apps, then Manage, then the Updates page.
