Paizo Delays Post-GenCon Live, Reveals New Pathfinder, Starfinder Adventures and Tie-Ins
Paizo’s post-GenCon Paizo LIVE was delayed to August 22, then uploaded to YouTube on Aug 25, where the company announced organized play will move to two scenarios per month starting “in January,” beginning with scenarios 709 and 710.

Paizo used a post-GenCon Paizo LIVE “Special — Adventure Announcements” broadcast to announce a major organized-play change: the company said it will switch to a model of two Pathfinder Society scenarios per month, starting “in January” with scenarios 709, Chitterwood Walks part one, and 710, Shattered Blades. The broadcast, which Paizo uploaded to its YouTube channel as “Paizo Live: Adventure Updates!” on August 25, 2025, named the scenario numbers explicitly in a clip of the live stream transcript.
Scheduling for the livestream itself shifted in the run-up to the broadcast. A Reddit post titled “Head's Up! The Post-GenCon Paizo LIVE! is Delayed to August 22nd” reported the stream was originally slated for August 15 and was moved to August 22 “due to needing more time to recover from GenCon,” with a likely start time of 4 PM PDT/7 PM EDT. The Reddit poster also said the delay was announced via an edit to a Paizo forum post originally posted July 25 and that they spotted the change by chance. Paizo’s recorded livestream on YouTube showed 3,621 views and 247 likes at the time of capture.
Erik Mona, introduced on the broadcast as Paizo’s publisher and chief creative officer, opened with post-GenCon context and product mentions in the captured transcript. Mona said, “Well, hello everyone. Welcome, welcome to another edition of Piso Live. Here we are all together uh to discuss a bunch of stuff. It we are still basking in the afterlow of Gen Con, folks. We are fresh and feisty coming off of the biggest show of the year where we debuted the battlecry book for uh for Pathfinder, the Starfinder player core, the first big uh rule book for Starfinder. We are jazzed. We are excited. We got a whole bunch of stuff we want to talk about today. Um and uh I will be your host. Uh I'm Eric Mona. I am the publisher and chief creative officer at Piso and I have assembled a group of folks here today to have a little discussion about a bunch of fun stuff but primarily adventures. We are talking adventures today on Piso Friday and my illustrious panel are” (transcript truncated).
The YouTube description listed panelists as Erik Mona, Thurston Hillman, James Jacobs, and Adam Daigle, and the broadcast framed its primary goals as updates about Pathfinder Adventure Paths, Pathfinder Society, and upcoming Starfinder and Pathfinder releases. A separate original report noted the livestream also collected discussion of fiction tie-ins and community-facing support, though the provided transcript snippets focus on Adventure Paths and organized play changes.
The organized-play announcement was explicit in the broadcast transcript: “we're actually really excited to announce another change uh that's going to be starting in uh January with two scenarios that I we just had up. I I'll I'll get our tech people to bring them up again. Um starting uh with 709 and 710, the Chitterwood Walks part one and Shattered Blades. Um both of these scenarios are going to represent a big change in organized play starting in January where we are going to be switching to a model of two scenarios per month. Previously those were um coming out [...]” The transcript does not state a year for that January, while a Reddit post contextualized the stream as covering releases “going into 2026,” which may indicate January 2026 but is not confirmed in the captured video text.
Paizo’s move to a two-scenarios-per-month cadence beginning with 709 and 710 marks a clear operational shift for Pathfinder Society, and fans and organizers will be watching Paizo’s official channels for confirmation of the year and the full calendar and product pages for those scenarios.
