If you are planning Gen Con tables, Sunday is the moment to watch. Paizo says event sign-ups begin then, and the company is framing Indianapolis as a full roadmap stop, not just a booth stop, with Pathfinder Society, Starfinder Society, demos, a keynote expansion called Paizo Keynote Expanded: 2027 and Beyond, and an early look at its new horror RPG, 13 Omens.

The convention runs July 30 through August 2, 2026, at the Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Paizo says the Sagamore Ballroom will carry a full schedule built around organized play and stage presentations, including a Pathfinder Society Special on Saturday evening and the first Starfinder Society Special for Second Edition on Friday. For Pathfinder and Starfinder players, that means Gen Con is not just where the next books get teased. It is where the next year of play gets set in motion.

That timing matters because Paizo says the show will launch Pathfinder Society Year 8 and Starfinder Society Year 2. The company also says it is bringing a new Pathfinder Society Special and the first-ever interactive special for Starfinder Society Second Edition. Add in panels like Level Up Your Pathfinder Game, Level Up Your Starfinder Game, Monster Mash - Live Pathfinder & Starfinder Creature Building, and a horror-design talk tied to 13 Omens, and the message is clear: Paizo wants Gen Con to shape both what players run and what they buy next.

The biggest new name in the mix is 13 Omens. Paizo describes it as a modern, supernatural, rules-lite horror TTRPG set in a dark reflection of our world, designed by Jason Bulmahn and Joe Pasini. Erik Mona is set to run it in a Gen Con Live presentation, which positions the game as a marquee reveal rather than a side announcement. That also gives the convention a broader significance for Paizo’s future line, especially with the keynote’s expanded 2027 and Beyond framing.

Paizo is also leaning hard on its organized play machine. The company says it ran more than 1,000 games online and in person in 2025 and wants to exceed that total in 2026. Volunteer GMs at Premier or Premier Plus events receive a $15 paizo.com voucher per block, with rewards that can scale up to a physical Paizo product at nine blocks or a shared hotel room at 10 or more.

For players who treat Gen Con like a campaign crossroads, the signal is already there. Sign-ups open Sunday, the specials are set, and Paizo is using the Sagamore Ballroom to show where Pathfinder, Starfinder, and 13 Omens are headed next.
