PF2e Graphics Module Updated With New Animations and Compatibility Fixes
PF2e Graphics, the Foundry VTT animation module from MrVauxs, added over a dozen new spell effects and verified compatibility with Foundry 12.331 in an April 6 update.

Every time Foundry VTT's core updater and the PF2e system patch simultaneously, animation modules become the first casualty. Spell effects stop triggering, macros break silently, and GMs burn session prep time troubleshooting instead of prepping encounters. PF2e Graphics, the community module that replaced both Automated Animations and PF2e Animation Macros as the standard animation layer for Pathfinder 2e tables, pushed an update on April 6 that keeps that breakage from landing.
Authored and maintained by MrVauxs, PF2e Graphics uses the Sequencer framework alongside a JSON-extensible template system to deliver pre-built animations for spells, attacks, and effects without requiring GMs to wire macros by hand. The April 6 release confirmed compatibility with Foundry 12.324 and above, with the package listing now verified against build 12.331 specifically.
The new animation coverage is substantial. Spells including Stabilize with tradition variants, Haste, Slow, Warp Step, Slashing Gust, Produce Flame, and Telekinetic Rend all received implementations, alongside class-specific effects like Drain Bonded Item for wizards, Unleash Psyche for psychics, and action animations covering Shove and Seek. The bard roster expanded with Courageous Anthem, built on the Workbench aura system, plus Haunting Hymn and Triple Time. Heal, Light, and Soothe add polish for healing-focused tables. Staves also made the list, which matters for any table running an item-heavy caster.
On the interface side, NPC and Item sheets now carry a dedicated on-sheet "Animations" tab rather than the older header button, a small change that significantly reduces UI clutter for GMs managing large monster libraries. The JSON Editor, used by contributors and advanced users to write custom animation logic directly inside Foundry, now clearly labels whether it is in edit mode or read-only mode. That distinction had been a quiet frustration for anyone who maintains their own animation extensions and couldn't immediately tell why their changes weren't sticking. CSS performance improvements across list-heavy menus, including Animation History and the Token Image Manager, tighten up the experience during busy combat rounds.
The timing tracks with a broader pattern in the PF2e ecosystem. Paizo's remaster product cadence has driven a wave of system patches over the past several months, and verified compatibility between PF2e Graphics and the current Foundry core cuts the manual testing burden for GMs who maintain deep module stacks. A verified marker against 12.331 means fewer emergency rollbacks on game night.
MrVauxs fields questions through the JB2A Discord community and the PF2e on Foundry VTT Community and Volunteer Development Server. The full changelog lives on the module's GitHub repository. Before rolling the update into a live campaign, the standard practice holds: test world first, back up compendia and world data before applying to anything a party has spent months building.
