Costa Rica Pickleball Retreats Sell Out as Season Debuts
Pickleball Vacations Costa Rica launched its inaugural retreat season in December 2025 and reports that initial offerings are sold out while rolling out additional weeklong retreats for February and March 2026. The retreats pair structured coaching and tournaments with local excursions and all-inclusive lodging, making them a compact option for players seeking warm-weather training and community play.

Pickleball Vacations Costa Rica has moved from hosting guests on Airbnb to a curated retreat program and says its initial December 2025 season sold out as the operator opens additional weeks for early 2026. The operator lists two upcoming eight-day, seven-night retreats: February 5–12, 2026, capped at 20 players and aimed at approximate levels 2.5–3.5; and March 5–12, 2026, also capped at 20 players with an approximate level of 3.0–4.0.
Each retreat is billed as all-inclusive on property. Accommodations are offered in private Cabinas with 1-, 2-, 4- and 6-bedroom configurations. Meals include breakfast and lunch every day while on property, plus four included dinners; guests may dine locally otherwise. The itinerary balances ten hours of pickleball coaching and drills, including video analysis with guest coaches, open play on four covered and lighted courts, ladder play and tournament formats, and an end-of-week team tournament. The property also provides full use of on-site amenities: restaurant, pool, trails, a large yoga deck and the pickleball courts.
Three excursions are included and can be adjusted to guest preferences, with examples listed such as a Nauyaca waterfall tour, Marino Ballena National Park (the Whale’s Tail) and a Playa Ventanas sea cave afternoon. All ground transportation to and from San José and to excursions is included. Optional add-ons at extra cost include additional excursions (Corcovado National Park, snorkeling, surf lessons, ATV tours, bird watching, whale watching), extra accommodation nights, yoga classes and on-site massages, and extra small-group or one-on-one coaching with video analysis.

Introductory pricing is positioned to introduce the property. Published rates range from $1,300 to $1,700 USD per person depending on occupancy: $1,700 for single occupancy in a one-bedroom Cabina; $1,500 per person for double occupancy in a two-bedroom Cabina; $1,300 per person for double occupancy in a one-bedroom Cabina (multiple configurations require verification when booking); $1,400 per person for quad occupancy in a four-bedroom Cabina; and $1,575 per person for a room in a six-bedroom villa with private pool (minimum five guests). A 13% VAT applies and a 2.5% credit card fee may apply. Retreat pricing typically requires a minimum group size (generally 14+ participants), a $300 non-refundable deposit to reserve a spot, and the remaining balance due 60 days before the retreat start date. If the operator cancels for unforeseen events or minimums are not met, the deposit is refundable.
Practical details for travelers include transfers from a designated airport hotel in San José, private decks and kitchenettes in each Cabina, and a shared pool on site. To inquire or reserve, use the operator’s booking link or contact the property at Calle de Union Rd, Puntarenas, Uvita, Costa Rica. With limited caps on player numbers and introductory pricing in place, book early, confirm occupancy configurations, and factor taxes, fees and deposit timelines into travel plans.
