CRBN publicly released its TruFoam Barrage paddle series on March 17, 2026, following a presale window that opened earlier in the month. The line centers on the brand's Gen-4 TruFoam floating foam core paired with Toray carbon face treatments, a construction the company bills as a direct departure from traditional honeycomb cores.

The Barrage's 100% TruFoam floating core is built with multi-density foam throughout and supported by a carbon fiber reinforced frame for added rigidity. CRBN describes the core as engineered to "load and release quickly, giving you that sharp, 'springy' pop on counters, speed-ups, and overheads without feeling hollow or unstable." Perimeter carbon fiber reinforcement adds stiffness, reduces twisting, and, according to CRBN, expands the sweet spot while keeping off-center hits solid and controlled. The company also lists "No Core Crush" as a defining characteristic, a claim aimed squarely at one of the most common complaints about foam-core paddle durability over time.

The TruFoam Barrage 4 is the named variant within the line, with PPA and MLP pro Thomas Wilson listed among players aligned with that specific model. CRBN positions the entire Barrage series for players who prioritize fast hands and put-away power at the kitchen line, describing it plainly as "fast, reactive, and aggressive."

Two endorsers offered direct assessments. Tanner Tomassi, an APP Pro and coach who holds a DUPR rating of 5.975 and is recognized as both an APP Champion and one of the top three online pickleball coaches, said: "Barrage fires the ball off the face. Big pop, bigger sweet spot, and the fastest counters I've ever had." Allyce Jones, a PPA and MLP Pro with a DUPR of 5.829, a PPA win, and a PPA Team Event Championship on her resume, described it as: "Crazy pop with real control. This paddle has truly effortless putaway power."

CRBN's site is currently offering free U.S. shipping and returns on orders. A separate limited-time promotion offers $60 off X Series paddles, though that discount is specific to the X Series and has not been explicitly extended to the Barrage line.

Pricing for the TruFoam Barrage has not been announced, and full technical specifications including weight, grip length, and head dimensions have not been made public. What CRBN has built its case around is a foam-only internal structure with no honeycomb compromise, wrapped in Toray carbon and reinforced at the perimeter — a paddle architecture that, at least according to the pros swinging it, translates directly into the kind of pop that wins hands battles at the net.
