New Rochelle's 42,000-Square-Foot PickleRage Complex Opens 13 Courts

Westchester County's largest dedicated indoor pickleball complex landed on March 26 at 173 Huguenot Street in New Rochelle, where PickleRage filled 42,000 square feet on the second floor with 13 regulation-size courts and a full amenity stack that includes something no other franchise location has offered before: locker rooms with showers.

Owners Henry Sztul and Brian Snyder, friends who built the project out of a shared enthusiasm for the sport, positioned the New Rochelle club as both a downtown anchor and a year-round training destination. "We're thrilled to be a part of New Rochelle's continued downtown growth and bring our passion for pickleball to Westchester," Sztul said. He added that the timing felt right given the season: "Pickleball provides a really great way to get out and stay active, especially after such a debilitating winter where so many of us stayed inside."

The courts themselves are built on joint-friendly CushionX surfaces with advanced LED lighting and smart court technology that supports video recording and livestreaming capabilities. Climate control handles the rest, eliminating the outdoor variables that have always complicated recreational play in New York.

Snyder emphasized that the facility runs deeper than its court count. "In addition to pickleball, we offer three Full Swing golf simulators, a fully stocked pro shop, and a comfortable players' lounge," he said. On the locker room milestone: "We're also proud to be the first PickleRage franchise to introduce an upgraded amenity package, featuring locker rooms and showers!"

Year-round programming falls under certified pickleball instructor and coach developer Geoffrey Jagdfeld, who brings more than 30 years of racquet sports leadership and coaching experience to the role. Jagdfeld will oversee leagues, tournaments, clinics, open play and private lessons across all skill levels.

Membership tiers include Founding Pro, Founding Premium and Founding Elite options, with reduced founding rates available ahead of the club's Grand Opening celebration planned for early April. Members receive priority booking windows, discounted court fees, complimentary open play and access to exclusive member events.
