Jah Rain Drops Conscious Roots EP Rivers of Freedom to Uplift Listeners
Jah Rain's five-track conscious roots EP Rivers of Freedom, produced by Iyah Vybz Muzik and Kutral Dub, dropped March 11 with a mission to reach listeners worldwide.

Jah Rain released Rivers of Freedom on March 11, a five-track conscious roots EP produced by Iyah Vybz Muzik in collaboration with Kutral Dub, coined with the explicit intent to highlight the harsh realities of the world and address social issues head-on.
The project arrives as the third EP in Jah Rain's catalog, following Guidance & Protection and Rise Again, both of which carried the same thread of upliftment that has defined his output since he entered the music scene in 2011. Where those earlier projects laid the foundation, Rivers of Freedom extends the mission outward, toward a global audience.
"My hope is that Rivers of Freedom will reach people around the world and remind them of the true power of reggae music. I want listeners to feel uplifted, motivated, and connected to a higher vibration. If even one person finds strength, clarity, or healing through these songs, then the mission of the project is already fulfilled," Jah Rain said.
The EP's ambitions run parallel to Jah Rain's broader trajectory. He has performed across Jamaica and the Caribbean, appeared live on Television Jamaica, logged studio sessions with Chaka Demus, and built the Iyah Vybz Kreation Band into a vehicle for his sound. As a producer, his credits extend to work with Frankie Paul, Eddie Fitzroy, Little John, and Lutan Fyah, a roster that speaks to deep roots within the reggae tradition. His collaborative circle includes Mark Wonder, Booba Star, Trap Gad, Lord Bitum, and Sankofa Lion, with international projects alongside Sankofa Lion already in development.

Rivers of Freedom also lands as a preview of what's ahead. The single "Try Again," produced and mastered by Iyah Vybz Muzik, leads his forthcoming Upstr8 EP, a project that fuses roots reggae, dancehall, and conscious lyricism into what Jah Rain describes plainly: "Mi music a di healing, di message, di mission. Every verse is a prayer, every riddim a revolution."
The touring vision is equally direct. "My goals are to continue expanding Jah Rain as a global roots reggae voice touring internationally, especially across Africa and the diaspora, releasing impactful projects, and using music to uplift communities. I also want to keep mentoring young artistes and building platforms that promote conscious reggae and positive cultural expression," Jah Rain said.
That mentorship work is already active. Beyond the studio, he has spent years coaching young talents and shaping emerging artists' sound and stagecraft, a commitment that frames Rivers of Freedom not just as a release, but as another stone laid in a longer road.
