Mystic Warrior releases motivational reggae-hip-hop single Leader, urges youth to find purpose
Mystic Warrior released "Leader," a contemporary reggae hip hop single he calls an urgent call to action for youth, and says radio stations here and abroad are already playing it.

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Reggae artiste Mystic Warrior has released his latest single, Leader, a track DancehallMag calls a "thoughtfully crafted song that is an urgent call to action for the youth blending purpose and agency with a contemporary reggae hip hop sound." Both DancehallMag and the Jamaica Observer ran interviews on March 7, 2026 documenting the new release and its goals.
The singer, who originally hails from Clarendon, has been in the industry for a decade and built a catalog that includes Mastermind, Dem a Rush and True Love. He is signed to his own label, Lee Benjamin Recordz Ltd., and the new single is presented as part of a larger rollout from that independent imprint.
Mystic Warrior framed Leader around a direct mission to young people. "I was motivated to do this song Leader to inspire the youth with a positive message. I see myself as a leader, and I want young people to find that same strength in themselves," he told DancehallMag. The Jamaica Observer printed the same sentiment with a slightly different rendering when quoting the artiste: "The song is meant to inspire young people, especially young men, to lead their own lives, make smart choices, stay true to themselves and to recognise that they can all be leaders in their own way," Mystic Warrior said.
Sources describe Leader as both urgent and reflective, noting it "explor[es] the pressures, uncertainties and emotional realities faced by men today" while showcasing Mystic Warrior's "expressive delivery and soulful tone." DancehallMag and the Jamaica Observer both characterize the single as a contemporary fusion of reggae and hip hop that foregrounds personal agency for youth audiences.
Production and album context were also made explicit in the interviews. Most of the tracks were produced by ShellaTopstar who also mixed and mastered the songs. DancehallMag and the Jamaica Observer say Leader serves as the leading edge of a larger project: a 10-track album which will be released late this year.

Reception to Leader has been positive in early coverage. DancehallMag reported, "Dancehall fans have responded well to the song, with fans really connecting with Mystic Warrior’s flow and energy." The same outlet quoted Mystic Warrior asserting, "Radio stations here and abroad are playing the song, and people are really connecting with it..it’s all positive energy and good vibes," he said. The Jamaica Observer similarly noted radio play and fan connection in its Kingston datelined story.
Mystic Warrior is also eyeing bookings outside Jamaica as he pushes the new material: he is "eyeing bookings in Europe, Canada, the Caribbean, the US, and Africa," according to the published interviews. Additional source material connected to the coverage lists The Edge 105 FM Radio and Fyah 105 FM among named entities in the reporting cluster, though the published pieces cite radio play more generally.
The DancehallMag page for the interview includes site-specific elements readers will recognize: "In This Story: mystic warrior." The page also carries calls to action: "Add DancehallMag as a preferred source on Google or follow on Facebook and X." It invites readers to "Sign up for our daily newsletter / By signing up, you agree to our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy." Mystic Warrior’s Leader now stands as the first public glimpse of an album slated for late this year, with the single carrying his call for the youth to find purpose and lead.
