Oregon's NorthWest World Reggae Festival has issued its 2026 save-the-date notice, with tickets now available for the June camping weekend that has drawn roots and reggae heads to the Pacific Northwest for years.

The NWWRF, long established as Oregon's premier roots/reggae camping festival, pushed its early 2026 announcements during the second week of March. The festival promises the full family-friendly package it has always delivered: camping, music, food, and a mix of artists and vendors that makes it a weekend destination rather than a day trip.

One of the most consistent presences at the festival is not on any stage. Lead Safe Mama, the childhood lead-poisoning prevention organization founded by Tamara Rubin, announced on March 11 that it will again host a free booth at NWWRF in 2026. "For nearly two decades, whenever we have been able to, we host a free children's both (with free activities and a safe space for kids, and Lead poisoning prevention outreach info for parents) at NWWRF," Rubin wrote in the announcement.

Rubin estimates the organization's first NWWRF booth was in 2009 or 2010, a timeline she anchors to a specific memory: "I think we did our first one in 2009 or 2010, because I remember we had a tiny baby Charlie with us — and he was born in 2008!" That puts Lead Safe Mama's presence at the festival at roughly 15 to 17 years, making it one of the longer-running community partnerships in the festival's history.

The booth offers free activities for children, a dedicated safe space for kids, and outreach materials for parents on primary prevention of childhood lead poisoning. It is part of a broader mission Rubin describes as giving back "IRL": "connecting with families, supporting children's health and well-being, and educating parents about the issue of childhood Lead poisoning (and the importance of primary prevention)."

Anyone wanting to volunteer at the Lead Safe Mama booth this summer can email Serina@LeadSafeMama.com with "Summer Concert Volunteer" in the subject line.

For a festival community that treats its summer gathering as a reunion as much as a concert, the NWWRF's early 2026 move signals another full season ahead.
