Sister Carol and Julian Marley Headline Fundraising Webathon for Reggae Month 2026
Reggaeville published a Fundraising Webathon lineup headlined by Sister Carol and Julian Marley. The announcement ties into Reggae Month programming and a busy February of tributes and concerts.

Reggaeville published the Fundraising Webathon 2026 lineup on February 1, naming Sister Carol and Julian Marley among a ten-strong roster that brings heavyweight names to Reggae Month programming. The posting, dated 02/01/2026, lists Rocky Dawuni, Hempress Sativa, Gramps Morgan, Kabaka Pyramid, Yami Bolo, Mutabaruka, Jah9 and Spragga Benz alongside the two headliners.
Reggaeville’s extended copy also named Prince Ermias Sahle Selassie, Dr. Julius Garvey and Rizza Islam as additional participants, and noted there are “and more” guests that the site did not identify. The publisher’s announcement supplied the lineup but did not provide details on the Fundraising Webathon’s time, broadcast platform, beneficiary or organizer.
The Webathon announcement arrives amid a packed Reggae Month calendar that was officially launched on January 21 at the J. Wray and Nephew corporate office in New Kingston. The launch was hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport; Minister Hon. Olivia Grange appeared with inaugural Reggae Month Ambassador Etana and Daniel Caron, Managing Director of J. Wray and Nephew Limited. Photographs from the launch were credited to Mark Bell.
Minister Olivia Grange framed the 2026 program around nurturing the next generation, saying, “We start with this series, Children of the Icon, as well as Young Reggae Ambassadors; so, those who have paved the way, their children, moving in the same direction, we are helping to promote them and other young artistes. We want to ensure that when we leave, we leave the music in good hands,” The minister also highlighted opening-day tributes, noting, “On February 1, we also pay tribute to the late Crown Prince of Reggae, Dennis Emmanuel Brown, at Heroes Park,” as Reggae Month activities got under way.
Reggae Month officially commenced Sunday, February 1 with a church service at the Fellowship Tabernacle, 2 Fairfield Avenue, Kingston, and a tribute to Dennis Emmanuel Brown at Heroes Park. Programming continues through the month with the Bob Marley Tribute Concert scheduled for February 6 at Emancipation Park with a special appearance from Stephen Marley. The Reggae Month Secretariat has more than 60 events registered for 2026, and this year marks the 17th anniversary of the Governor General’s declaration of February as Reggae Month. Western Jamaica activities include Waves One Love Jerk Fest and the MoBay Reggae Night in St. James.
For readers following the scene, the Reggaeville lineup adds familiar voices and political-cultural figures to Reggae Month’s mix, but several logistical questions remain. Reggaeville has the initial names and the February 1 posting; the Webathon’s schedule, streaming details, fundraising beneficiaries and specific roles for Prince Ermias Sahle Selassie, Dr. Julius Garvey and Rizza Islam were not specified. Watch Reggaeville and announcements from the Reggae Month Secretariat for updates as the month’s programming fills in and artists’ roles are confirmed.
