Zen launches debut single Over You through Overproof Records

Zen’s first official single lands with more than a clean introduction. Over You was released on June 12, 2026 through Overproof Records on major digital streaming platforms, and the rollout already had a head start: the official promo audio went up on YouTube on May 27 with a note that the track would be in stores worldwide on June 12.

That matters because Zen does not come in as a faceless new voice. He was born in Montego Bay and raised in Rosemount, Cambridge, St. James, where his early route into music ran through church choir and then school performances at Cambridge High School. It is a classic Jamaican training ground, but one that still tells you something useful about the singer himself: Zen was shaped first by live singing, harmony, and discipline, not by chasing a quick viral moment.

The song choice also feels deliberate. Over You is described as heartfelt, powerful, relatable, and non-explicit, built around heartbreak, resilience, and the search for genuine affection after a toxic relationship. Overproof previously worked with Teejay on Chop Life featuring Malie Donn and released Stronger Than Before by Montego Bay artist Sliq One in 2022.
