NY LGBT Network Returns to Bridgehampton Tennis Club for Summer Kickoff

Bridgehampton Tennis & Surf Club is once again serving as more than a tennis venue. On Saturday, May 23, the club at 231 Midocean Dr. will host the NY LGBT Network’s Hamptons Summer Kick-Off, a 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. fundraiser that ties the East End’s seasonal social calendar to the network’s local programs and the Hamptons LGBT Center.

The setting is part of the story. Bridgehampton Tennis & Surf Club describes itself as having more than 1,200 feet of private ocean property, and property listings place it on about 12 acres surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean, Mecox Bay and Sam’s Creek. That kind of footprint has made the club a familiar choice for high-end summer gatherings, and the Network’s return there underscores how Hamptons tennis spaces can double as civic and philanthropic stages as the season turns on.

The ticket structure shows the event is being built for a wide range of supporters. General admission is listed at $275 plus fees, with early-bird pricing ending May 8. The registration page also offers house guest bundle options and a sponsor ladder that runs from Friend at $500 to Presenting at $25,000, with Bronze, Silver, Gold, Titanium and Platinum tiers in between. Several bundle options were already marked sold out, a sign that the kickoff has drawn early attention from the same crowd that tends to shape the Hamptons’ summer openings.

For the NY LGBT Network, the event carries practical weight beyond the social scene. The organization says it has served the Long Island LGBT community since 1993, operates as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and runs more than 30 in-person and virtual programs each week. Its services include free mental health counseling in Nassau and Suffolk counties for youth up to 21 and their families, along with LGBT people affected by substance misuse. Proceeds from the Hamptons event will benefit the Hamptons LGBT Center and its local programs and services on the East End.

The kickoff also fits into a bigger pattern. Long Island Pride listed a Hamptons Summer Kick-Off at the same Bridgehampton address on May 24, 2025, showing this is an annual Memorial Day-weekend fixture rather than a one-time party. The Network’s 2025 year-in-review, which introduced a new logo and the tagline “Thriving Together,” points to a group that is using visibility, fundraising and familiar Hamptons venues to keep its summer presence in clear view.
