Divine Ascension Mod Brings Epic Occult Gameplay to The Sims 4
SpinningPlumbobs' Divine Ascension mod goes public today, letting Sims 4 players build Celestials and Infernals on a path to literal godhood.

SpinningPlumbobs' long-planned Divine Ascension mod hits public release today, March 21, bringing two entirely new occult types to The Sims 4 and a progression system that lets players guide their Sims all the way to godhood.
The mod introduces Celestials and Infernals as distinct, powerful occult archetypes, each with divine abilities, follower mechanics, and an ascension system built around long-term gameplay progression. The design philosophy leans hard into mythological storytelling: players are not just managing a supernatural Sim but building a divine ruler from the ground up, accumulating followers and climbing toward a literal ascension endpoint.
SpinningPlumbobs released Early Access builds in early March through their Patreon page, giving patrons a first look at the supernatural systems ahead of today's wider rollout. The mod has also been the subject of multiple previews and an official trailer that SpinningPlumbobs produced to showcase the abilities and gameplay features in action.
Coverage of the Early Access period described the mod as "one of the most ambitious occult gameplay mods released for the game," pointing specifically to the depth of its mechanics and the scale of its supernatural systems. The ascension progression in particular drew attention for encouraging long-term storytelling and giving players the freedom to construct their own mythological narratives rather than following a fixed story path.
With Celestials, Infernals, divine abilities, followers, and the full ascension arc now available to any Simmer who downloads today's public release, Divine Ascension represents one of the more substantial overhauls to occult gameplay the modding community has produced for The Sims 4 in recent memory. Compatibility details and installation requirements were not confirmed ahead of publication, so checking SpinningPlumbobs' Patreon page for technical specifics before installing remains the safest first step.
