EA Play Adds Sims Legacy Collections to PC; MySims Arrives Jan 29
Electronic Arts added classic Sims collections to EA Play on PC for nostalgic access; MySims: Cozy Bundle will join the playlist on Jan 29, expanding options for legacy play.

Electronic Arts began adding legacy Sims titles to EA Play on PC as a small celebration of the franchise’s history, giving players an easy way to revisit early entries and legacy runs. The Sims: Legacy Collection and The Sims 2: Legacy Collection were added to the EA Play playlist around January 22, and the MySims: Cozy Bundle - which packages MySims and MySims Kingdom - is scheduled to join the Play List on January 29.
These additions put publisher-sanctioned versions of older Sims releases into a subscription that already reaches many PC players, lowering the barrier to replay classic content. For players running legacy challenge households, builders studying older UI and lot tools, or creators mining retro assets for streams and videos, the collections provide straightforward access without hunting down legacy discs or compatibility patches.
The Legacy Collections arriving on EA Play include curated releases aimed at preserving the core experience of The Sims and The Sims 2 for modern PCs. MySims: Cozy Bundle brings the series’ child-friendly spin to the service, useful for families, young players getting into The Sims franchise, and content creators exploring the series’ broader design history. All three entries will appear on the EA Play playlist, making them available to current subscribers without separate purchases on day one of availability.
EA Play members can also use related EA discounts; the service currently provides a 10% EA Play discount on EA digital purchases when pre-ordering recent Sims 4 content. That discount may be relevant for players who subscribe to EA Play primarily for these legacy titles and who also plan to buy upcoming Sims 4 packs or DLC. Check your EA Play account and the Origin or EA app for pricing and pre-order options tied to the discount.
For the community, this move is both practical and nostalgic. Legacy challenge runners gain faster access to source material, builders can compare then-and-now design choices, and modders can test older mod behavior in an official PC environment. Streamers and archive-minded players can capture older gameplay legally and more reliably than relying on secondhand copies.
Expect the MySims: Cozy Bundle to appear on January 29 in the EA Play playlist; the earlier additions are already live for subscribers. If you want to revisit a long-running family line, study classic build menus, or create content rooted in Sims history, log into EA Play and browse the playlist. These re-releases make it easier to pull out the plumbob and take another crack at those legacy goals.
