The Sims and Lofi Girl Team Up for a Cozy 25-Track Soundtrack
Lofi Girl reworked 25 classic Sims themes into a lo-fi playlist today, with tracks from The Sims 2, Sims 3, MySims, and more streaming now on Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube.

Today, the collaboration was officially announced: "Lofi Girl x The Sims – cozy music to feel ooh be gah!" reimagines famous tracks from The Sims franchise in the style that made Lofi Girl famous. The playlist includes 25 soundtrack entries spanning the mainline Sims series and spin-off series like MySims, with every track clocking in around two to three minutes.
The teaser that tipped everyone off landed a day early. At 11:00 AM EST on March 22, The Sims official X account posted a short clip showing the classic Lofi Girl using the iconic spinning-around animation found in The Sims series to change from pajamas into her everyday outfit, with a Plumbob appearing over her head. The video ended with the date "3.23.2026," and only minutes later, an admin of The Sims official Discord server posted an image taken from the video with that date in the Announcements channel.
Standouts in the 25-track set that will ring familiar for a lot of players include The Sims 2 Theme, The Sims 3 Theme, the MySims Theme, and the MySims Kingdom Theme. Each one has been reworked into the lo-fi style that made Lofi Girl's channel famous, stripping out lyrics and slowing things down into the kind of hazy, instrumental backdrop that millions of people already put on while studying or working. Lofi Girl has built up a substantial catalog of brand collaborations over the years, including the 2025 game releases Silent Hill f and Assassin's Creed Shadows.
The soundtrack is available on YouTube, YouTube Music, Amazon Music, Apple Music, and Spotify. EA shared the teaser across all official Sims channels; Lofi Girl, formerly known as ChilledCow, streams lo-fi hip-hop beats for studying, relaxing, or sleeping and operates as both a YouTube channel and a record label.
The fit between these two audiences was never exactly a mystery. The Sims 4 is currently heavy with community criticism over the new Marketplace, game-breaking bugs, and general unrest, and the timing of a cozy, no-stakes music release landed with mixed results. The player response on X was largely negative, with many users criticizing EA for continuing to promote the game as if nothing is wrong, despite the controversy over the recent introduction of paid mods. The official Sims 4 account framed it simply: "Enjoy your favorite Sims classics, remixed into lo-fi vibes. From building to studying, it's the perfect soundtrack. Available now on all streaming platforms."
Whether the soundtrack is the whole collaboration or just the opening move remains unclear. It doesn't seem that EA currently has plans for more than a Sims-based lo-fi album, though a Lofi Girl-themed DLC pack could be in the works. Speculation has pointed toward possible in-game cosmetics for The Sims 4, including the Lofi Girl avatar and her outfits, as well as Lofi Girl-style songs added to the in-game soundtrack. For now, the 25 tracks are what's confirmed, and for anyone who has ever built a dream house with a lofi playlist running in a browser tab, that alone is a pretty good start.
