World Tour Mod Gets Band Module, Letting Sims Form and Tour as a Group

Modder thatssojordy has expanded the World Tour mod for The Sims 4 with its first official band module, "I'm With the Band," giving Sims the ability to form, manage, and tour as a group for the first time in the mod's history.

The module takes the existing music career system well beyond solo artistry. Sims can now recruit other artists to join their band, organize performances, and tour the world together, experiencing what thatssojordy describes as the full spectrum of band life. The modder's own release notes frame the scope of choices available: "Become an Independent Artist with no contract, Create and Run your own Band, choose the path of Industry Plant or Industry Darling! Embrace a Music Era or Decide to Go Solo. There's so much to do!"

The update, released publicly on February 6 and covered by SnootySims on March 10, 2026, also includes fixes to the core World Tour file alongside the new band additions. On their Tumblr, thatssojordy labeled the release "World Tour V2 + Band Module" and confirmed it as "the first Optional Addon (Module) that allows artists to create bands."

The band module is positioned as an optional add-on sitting alongside the core World Tour file, meaning players who want to continue solo career playthroughs can do so while those ready for group dynamics can install the module separately. The core mod already supports a true-to-life musician career path, whether independent or signed, and the band feature layers new storytelling mechanics on top of that foundation, with functional bands capable of building long-lasting careers and accumulating fame.

The community appetite for this kind of feature has been building for some time. With speculation that The Sims 4 Royalty & Legacy may represent the final expansion pack in the series, fans who have long requested native band gameplay have watched those requests go unmet by EA. Thatssojordy, who is well-known in the community for storytelling-focused mods that expand player opportunity, stepped into that gap directly.

Both the core World Tour mod and the "I'm With the Band" module passed through an Early Access period before the February 6 public release. Because this is the first band module thatssojordy has released for World Tour, the mod's structure leaves clear room for additional modules down the line, and the V2 labeling on the current release suggests the framework is built with expansion in mind.
