Campus bar shooting in Sarnia leads to three arrests, fourth suspect sought
Three people are charged after Dane Nisbet was killed at Lambton College's campus bar, while police hunt a fourth suspect tied to the same shooting.

Police in Sarnia, Ontario, have turned the deadly shooting at Lambton College’s campus bar into an active manhunt, with three people now facing charges and a fourth suspect still being sought. Dane Nisbet, 20, of Sarnia, was shot at the Lions Den Pub and Grill just after 12:52 a.m. on April 10, and later died in hospital. Officers said three injured people were found at the scene, including Nisbet and two other men who survived with non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators say the violence did not appear to target Lambton College or the crowd gathered there, and they said there was no information supporting speculation about a political motive. Lambton College said the shooting happened during a sanctioned Student Administrative Council event. The school closed its Sarnia campus on April 10 and offered counselling and wellness supports to students and staff as the homicide probe widened.
By Monday, police had arrested three suspects. Oudom Richard Bun, 23, of London, was charged with second-degree murder and two counts of attempted murder. Ava-Leigh Lightheart, 19, faced a charge of accessory after the fact to murder along with several firearm offences, and Johnathan Osborne-Walsh, 19, was charged with accessory-related and gun-related offences. A fourth suspect, whose name has not been released, remained at large, leaving investigators still chasing one more person they believe was involved in the shooting.
Sarnia police later said a Canada-wide warrant had been issued for Kyaw (Chin) Doe, 24, of London, and that he may be changing his appearance and clothing to avoid arrest. Police and Crime Stoppers have posted a $25,000 reward for information leading to his capture. Investigators also said the firearm believed to have been used in the shooting was recovered and appeared to have been sourced from the United States, adding another cross-border twist to a case that moved far beyond a single bar fight.
The investigation has also spread across the region. Police searched a residence on the 300 block of Indian Road in Sarnia on April 12, and later canvassed a northeast London housing complex believed to be tied to the primary suspect. For a community already shaken by the death of a 20-year-old local former hockey player, the case remains open, the weapon is accounted for, and one alleged participant is still on the run.
