A witness in the murder trial of three men told the court he was behind the wheel when 44-year-old senior Customs official Nigel Christian was snatched from his McKinnons home on July 10, 2020 and that he later found Christian’s body in the Thibou’s area "riddled with gunshot wounds." The trial opened Feb. 20, 2026 before Justice Rajiv Persaud.

The witness said he had rented a silver Toyota Allion because his own vehicle was being repaired and that Saleim Harrigan called to say Lasean "Bully" Bully needed a ride from the hospital. He testified he picked up Bully and Bully’s girlfriend, dropping the girlfriend in Greenbay, then agreed to drive Bully and Harrigan when they said they needed to "check out something." The witness told the court he then drove to Cashew Hill and picked up Wayne Thomas and noticed Thomas had a firearm tucked in his shoe.

The witness described being "present from the moment the plan was set in motion to the moment he saw the victim’s bloodied body on the side of the road." He said he dropped the three men at Christian’s McKinnons home, watched them abduct Christian, and later followed them to Thibou’s where he discovered the body. In court he identified a photograph of Christian’s home.

After the discovery, the witness said he continued toward home but received a call from Harrigan telling him to return. He testified he picked the men up from a bushy area near the APUA headquarters and observed they were no longer wearing camouflage clothing. The witness said he later dropped them in Belmont near a pond in an area with no houses directly nearby. He also said Thomas told others in the car that he had taken Nigel Christian’s firearm.

On the stand the witness recounted conversations among the accused, testifying they had told him they "got a job from somebody to kill the guy." He further reported an in-car remark that "Bully had gotten his first ‘duppy’." Returning for day two, the same witness said payment for the killing was split with Lasean Bully receiving $5,000, Wayne Thomas receiving $5,000 and Saleim Harrigan keeping the remainder, and that Bully felt "shortchanged."

The witness also singled out Lasean Bully as the man who pulled the trigger, a claim the prosecution presented during opening testimony. The witness remains unnamed in courtroom accounts filed so far, and prosecutors continued to present evidence on the trial’s second day as the case against Bully, Harrigan and Thomas moved forward.

Outside court, the testimony stirred public reaction online, with social posts capturing dozens of comments and shares and callers raising concerns about the publication of court remarks. The trial is ongoing and the next phases will be watched closely for forensic evidence, defense responses and any further witnesses tying the July 10, 2020 abduction to the three accused.
