Parents arrested after apparent harm to missing 12-year-old Ryan Davis
Parents arrested after evidence showed apparent harm to missing 12-year-old Ryan "RJ" Davis; investigators believe the boy is alive and the probe is ongoing.

Authorities in Oklahoma arrested the parents of 12-year-old Ryan “RJ” Davis, also known as Ryker Cole, after investigators said evidence suggested the child suffered harm while in their care. The arrests came after the boy was reported missing from Chickasha on Jan. 2 and an Endangered Missing Advisory was issued by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol on Jan. 6.
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation joined the probe as the search expanded. On Jan. 7 and 8, OSBI officials told investigators that available evidence indicated apparent harm to the child during the time he was with his parents. George Cole, identified as the stepfather, and Kimberly Cole, the biological mother, were booked into the Caddo County Jail on complaints of child abuse and child sexual abuse. Law enforcement officials say the investigation remains active and that multiple leads are being pursued.
Investigators provided the last-known movements for the child: he was last seen near the Quality Inn at Fourth Street and East Grand Avenue in Chickasha around 11:20 p.m. on Jan. 2. Officials also released physical descriptions for the missing boy and are asking the public to check any nearby security footage, doorbell cameras, or dashcams that might have captured his movements around that time. The Chickasha police chief has stated the child will not be returned to the parents’ care while the case is under investigation.
The practical stakes for the community are immediate. This is an active child safety investigation that may hinge on small details: neighborhood video, a remembered vehicle, or a passerby’s odd observation. Witnesses who were in the area the night of Jan. 2 are particularly important to investigators. Tips and information, no matter how small they seem, can help narrow timelines and corroborate leads.
For families and neighbors this is a reminder to preserve and share any relevant footage, check with friends and relatives for possible sighting reports, and report credible information directly to local law enforcement or the OSBI so investigators can vet it. Avoid sharing unverified rumors on social media that could complicate the inquiry or harm the child’s privacy.
Our two cents? Keep an eye on local cameras, save anything suspicious instead of deleting it, and call investigators before speculating online. Solid, verifiable tips beat wild theories and they’re the fastest way to get this boy home safe.
