Three arrested after shooting outside Moorpark home during party; no injuries
Three men were arrested after shots were fired outside a Moorpark home on the 100 block of Flory Avenue; deputies say no one was injured and witnesses identified the suspects.

Three men were arrested after a shooting outside a home in the 100 block of Flory Avenue in Moorpark; deputies responded at 11:15 p.m. on March 7 and no one was injured, Capt. Kevin Kipp said. Witnesses identified the trio after at least one of the men took out a gun and fired multiple times, Kipp said, and detectives located and arrested the suspects early March 8.
“Deputies with the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office responded at 11:15 p.m. on March 7, 2026 to a reported shooting outside a home in the 100 block of Flory Avenue in Moorpark,” the sheriff’s office reported, noting the City of Moorpark contracts police services with the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office. “No one was injured but the incident apparently stemmed from some kind of disagreement between the people inside the home who were hosting a party and the three men, the captain said.”
Kipp described how the dispute escalated: “The argument was taken outside, and at least one of the trio took out a gun and shot it multiple times, Kipp said.” After the shooting, all three men left the scene and were later identified by witnesses, according to Kipp.
Detectives arrested two 18-year-olds from Simi Valley and a 21-year-old from Moorpark early March 8, Kipp said. Jail records show one Simi Valley man was arrested and booked into Ventura County Jail on suspicion of felony criminal conspiracy, felony assault with a deadly weapon and felony person prohibited from possession of ammunition; he is being held on $60,000 bail. The second Simi Valley man was arrested on suspicion of felony assault with a firearm, felony criminal threats and felony conspiracy to commit a crime, and a misdemeanor for use of a deadly weapon in a fight; he is being held on $60,000 bail and is set to appear in Ventura County Superior Court on March 10, according to jail records.

The Moorpark man was arrested for misdemeanor public intoxication, the records show. The news accounts do not list the suspects’ names, and officials have not released whether a firearm was recovered, the number or type of rounds fired, or whether anyone was charged with additional counts beyond those in the booking records.
As a point of local context, a separate Moorpark case reported by local news involved a different incident in the 400 block of Bard Street, in which a suspected convicted felon reportedly fired a handgun into the air during an argument. That earlier report named the suspect as Kelley Pasos and said he faced charges of negligently discharging a firearm in a residential neighborhood and illegally possessing a firearm as a convicted felon; Moorpark PD representative Hutton was quoted saying, “It’s not too common, but we do get them.”
Detectives in the Flory Avenue case continue to investigate. Anyone with additional information can call the Moorpark Police station at 805-532-2700.
