Mohammed Aliyan Khan, 23; Faisal Khan, 26; and Hakeem Gulzar, 27, have been charged with murder, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and violent disorder following the assault that left Keighley man Suhail Choudry in a critical condition. Choudry, 35, was found with serious head injuries on Flasby Street in the early hours of Sunday 8 February, was taken to hospital and died on 11 February.

West Yorkshire Police said detectives carried out overnight arrest enquiries at three addresses in Keighley and that searches of properties on Malsis Road, Lister Street and Parson Street are ongoing. The three men were remanded into custody to appear at Bradford Magistrates Court on 24 February. A police statement reproduced in local reports names Khan and Khan as being of Malsis Road and Gulzar as of Plover Street.

Investigators have described the assault as violent and mobile; initial enquiries suggested Choudry had been chased before being attacked, with weapons including sticks and bats used in the incident. The Homicide and Major Enquiry Team has maintained scenes on local streets while officers piece together the sequence that led to the injuries on Flasby Street.

This latest tranche of charges follows a series of earlier arrests. West Yorkshire Police charged 41-year-old Rashid Hussain of Redcliffe Street with murder, possession of an offensive weapon and violent disorder; Hussain made a first appearance at Bradford Crown Court where His Honour Judge Neil Clark set a plea and trial preparation hearing for 19 March and remanded him in custody with no application for bail. Police records show multiple other arrests since 14 February, including a man aged 42 arrested on suspicion of murder, two men aged 27 and 30 who remain on police bail, and a man aged 33 arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender who was also on bail.

Local coverage and social media reflect a community searching for answers. A Facebook post replicating the police update drew 29 comments and a range of responses, from praise for detectives, "Fabulous job by WYP. The increased and aggressive policing is a brilliant leap forward, well done guys, keep it up", to more confrontational remarks about cultural and religious themes. Two further people were also arrested in relation to the investigation: a 36-year-old man on suspicion of assisting an offender and a 26-year-old woman on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder; both remained in custody as reporting closed.

As the three charged men await their magistrates hearing, West Yorkshire Police continue door-to-door enquiries and property searches across Keighley. With a plea and trial preparation hearing for a separately charged suspect set for 19 March, the investigation remains active and prosecutors have stressed that the individuals charged are suspects, not convicted offenders.
