Activision confirmed that Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile will stop running on April 17, 2026, saying in a support-site notice that “As a final step in the previously communicated service changes to Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile, the servers for Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile will go offline on April 17, 2026, after which the game will no longer be available for play.” The company posted the statement to its support website in mid-February 2026 and framed the date as the end of a wind-down that began with the title’s removal from app stores in May 2025.

The mobile version launched in March 2024 and was positioned as a cross-progression companion to console and PC Warzone experiences, but Activision said the product “did not meet expectations with mobile-first players like it has with PC and console audiences.” The delisting from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store came in May 2025; real-money purchases and social features were discontinued on May 19, 2025, after which servers remained live only for players who had already installed the app, with no new content or updates planned.

Players who still have Warzone Mobile installed can access the game and use purchased content up until April 17, 2026. Activision and reporting outlets have stressed that unused COD Points can be spent in the in-game store through the shutdown date, and that “refunds aren’t available for previously purchased in-game content or unused COD Points.” All previously purchased cosmetics and battle pass items remain usable until servers go offline, but guest accounts “will no longer be accessible once the servers shut down,” while Activision accounts “won’t work inside Warzone Mobile anymore, but will still exist and remain usable outside the game across Activision services/titles that require an account.”

Warzone Mobile shipped a full-scale battle royale supporting up to 120 players and offered cross-progression to PC and console iterations of Warzone and linked titles, including Modern Warfare 2 and 3, with plans later in the year to include Black Ops 6. Critics gave the mobile port a solid reception at launch; IGN scored the game 8 out of 10 and wrote that “Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile includes all the best elements of Warzone, while speeding up and streamlining matches and using cross-progression to make this a meaningful extension of the traditional experience.”

Commercially, the title saw an early burst of spending: AppMagic’s estimate, cited by industry reporting, put consumer spending at $1.4 million in the four days after release. Despite that launch window revenue, Activision moved to wind down the product and communicated the shutdown in February 2026 as the final step of the service changes that began with the 2025 delisting.

Activision closed its notice with thanks to players and development teams, saying, “We are deeply grateful to the community that supported Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile and to the developers who brought the experience to life. Player passion and feedback continue to shape the future of the Call of Duty franchise, and we look forward to delivering meaningful seasonal content and updates to Call of Duty: Mobile.” April 17, 2026 will be the last day the mobile app is playable.
