Brazil’s Devcats Launches Publishing Arm to Back Cozy, Wholesome Indie Games

Devcats, an independent development studio based in Caxias do Sul, Brazil, announced on Feb. 18, 2026 that it has launched a publishing division to support “cozy and wholesome” indie projects and that its first published title will be Feline Forensics and the Meowseum Mystery, slated for a Steam for Windows release in Q2 2026. GameDeveloper identified the developer behind the project as Pennsylvania-based Nobody Crown, and Gamespress lists press assets including a Devcats press kit, a streaming trailer, and a Feline Forensics press kit.

Devcats says the new publisher will lend its experience in marketing, community-building, localization, music, game direction, and game development to partner teams while explicitly promising to publish “more than just cat-centric games” so long as projects fit the cozy and wholesome remit. The studio’s mission is framed around animal welfare in its quoted brand voice: “Our mission at Devcats is to raise awareness for cat adoption and rescue efforts through the fun, cozy, and wholesome games we create and support,” says Fofiño, “an orange cat who designs games for Devcats.” Devcats also states that “When developers join our team, they join this mission as well. We will continue contributing a portion of our profits, from our share of the project, to help animal causes in need.”
