Full Circle, the Electronic Arts studio behind the free-to-play reboot skate., confirmed an internal reshaping that will impact roles and include layoffs, and said development on the game will continue. The studio posted its statement on February 25, 2026, and repeated commitments to accelerate work on features players care about while supporting affected staff.

Full Circle addressed teammates affected by the restructuring directly: “The teammates affected are talented colleagues and friends who helped build the foundation of skate. Their creativity and dedication are deeply ingrained in what players experience today. This decision is not a reflection of their impact and we’re committed to supporting them through this transition.” The announcement did not provide figures for layoffs or detail severance and outplacement support.

The studio closed its statement by reiterating, “Our work on skate. continues. We look forward to working with you as we move faster, listen more closely, and deliver consistently for all of you. Our commitment to skate., and to the millions of players who believe in it, remains strong.” With Early Access live across console and PC platforms and the player-base claim of “tens of millions,” the immediate questions left open are the precise number of staff affected, the nature of the support they will receive, and the concrete roadmap for the features Full Circle says it will prioritize going forward.
