Natus Vincere Claims ESL Pro League Season 23 Title in Stockholm

Natus Vincere capped a turbulent 2026 by winning ESL Pro League Season 23, defeating Aurora in the grand final of the three-day LAN event at Annexet in Stockholm that ran March 13–15. The title came with a $100,000 cash prize from the tournament's $250,000 total pool, along with valuable Valve Regional Standings points that are predicted to push NAVI's total to 1,732, a gain of 32 points while holding their position at eighth in the VRS rankings.

The road to the final began with a clinical 2–0 dismantling of The MongolZ in the quarterfinals. NAVI's own map pick, Ancient, nearly backfired when The MongolZ took a 7–5 lead on the CT side at halftime, but once NAVI swapped to defense the momentum shifted decisively and they closed the map 13–11. Mirage was never in doubt: NAVI led 10–2 at the half and ran out 13–4 winners, with The MongolZ unable to take more than four rounds on a map they needed. makazze was the standout performer across both maps, finishing with an ADR of 115.9 and a 1.87 rating. The MongolZ departed in 5th–8th place, collecting $15,000 for the team and an additional $33,000 for the organization.

The semifinal against FUT Esports was a tighter affair, requiring all three maps before NAVI advanced. They took Mirage convincingly at 13–5, dropped Ancient 11–13, then closed it out on Dust2 with a 13–7 scoreline. iM was NAVI's most dominant player across the series, finishing 67–37 in kills-deaths with an ADR of 111.0 and a 1.58 rating. makazze contributed again with a 51–43 K-D, 90.7 ADR, and a 1.27 rating. On the deciding Dust2 map specifically, iM went 23–11 with a 122.0 ADR and a 1.78 rating, while makazze posted 20–14 and a 1.74 rating with a swing figure of plus 8.30 percent. Aleksib and w0nderful both hovered near even on the map, with the heavy lifting falling squarely on the top two.

FUT's best performer across the series was lauNX at 44–48 with a 1.14 rating, but no player on their side managed to consistently generate positive swing figures against a NAVI lineup that was simply the better team over three maps.

The grand final against Aurora went the distance in a best-of-five format, and NAVI emerged as champions, though per-map scores were not publicly confirmed at the time of writing. What is confirmed is that NAVI's title is their first of the 2026 season, a significant turnaround after a 9th–12th place finish at IEM Katowice and only a top-8 result at PGL Cluj-Napoca earlier in the year. Heading into ESL Pro League Season 23, NAVI held a spot in the VRS top 10 despite those inconsistent results; the Stockholm title now gives that ranking number some substance to stand on.
