Hello Games released Update 6.22 for No Man’s Sky, listed in full as version 6.022.000, as a follow-up maintenance patch to the Remnant content drop; the official patch notes were published February 16, 2026, and Hello Games says the fixes "are now live on Steam, and will be coming to other platforms as soon as possible." Outlets reported the update being available to players on February 17, and Mp1st ran the headline "No Man’s Sky Update 6.22/6.022 Released on February 17 for Fixes" (Alex Co, Feb 17, 2026).

This 6.22 patch arrives after the Remnant major update released earlier in February (Remnant was released February 11) and is at least the second set of immediate follow-ups addressing issues introduced by that expansion. Mp1st noted, "So far, this is the second set of fixes released for Remnant, and we suspect there are more on the way," signaling continued hotfix cadence from Hello Games for Remnant expedition content and systems.

Hello Games opened the Remnant 6.22 patch post with direct thanks to testers and reporters: "Hello Everyone, Thank you to everyone playing No Man’s Sky – Remnant, especially those taking the time to report any issues they encounter via Zendesk or console crash reporting." The studio added, "We are listening closely to your feedback, and have identified and resolved a number of issues. These fixes are included in patch 6.22, which is now live on Steam, and will be coming to other platforms as soon as possible." Those lines are pulled verbatim from the Nomanssky post dated February 16, 2026.

A large portion of the changelog tightens up Exocraft behavior and visuals. The official notes and subsequent coverage list improved collision for the Colossus Exocraft, a fix for mechanical legs getting stuck on obstacles, visual improvements to wheels and cockpits, a rendering fix for Exocraft cabins when using the Cyclops Scope in first person, and fixes for weapons clipping with vehicles and wheels appearing to spin erratically. The patch also addresses camera issues on slopes and a camera transition bug after repeated use of the auto-collection utility at Waste Processing Plants. Mp1st and Escapist specifically highlight fixes preventing Exocraft from clipping with steep terrain when summoned and preventing immediate placement in the driver’s seat when summoning.

Gravitino Coil adjustments are another focal point. Nomanssky, Mp1st, and Escapist list improved damage and stun potential for objects launched by the Gravitino Coil, better magnetism against armoured Sentinel drones, and crosshair and minor visual improvements to the gravity gun attachment for the multitool introduced in Remnant.

6.22 also touches expedition and UI work tied to Remnant missions. Hello Games added context awareness to the Industrial Cleanup persistent mission, extra guidance to Road Trip milestones in the Remnant expedition, valuation scale improvements at Waste Processing Plants, fixes for overly bright starship cockpit lighting, and corrections for Discovery thumbnail and Analysis Visor rendering issues, including 3D objects rendering incorrectly on UI screens and in VR.

Not all changes were universally applauded. Mp1st and Gamerant note a controversial change that makes the Exocraft Mining Laser consume fuel "as intended"; several players expressed disappointment at the removal of the prior behavior. Escapist’s coverage framed 6.22 as a "quality-of-life coat of paint that makes planetary driving feel less janky" and reported that one fix addressed what "one of the devs calls one of the two hardest bugs they have ever had to fix," a characterization attributed to Escapist’s reporting of developer comments.

Hello Games’ official Remnant 6.22 patch notes and the Feb 16 publication date are the baseline for the fixes; Mp1st and other outlets reported availability on Feb 17 while platforms beyond Steam await the promised rollout. With Colossus collision, Gravitino Coil adjustments, mission guidance tweaks, and several UI and camera repairs, version 6.022.000 aims to smooth the core systems players use during the Remnant expedition while Hello Games continues work and support for No Man’s Sky and development on Light No Fire.
