PlayStation Plus April 2026 Free Games Include Lords of the Fallen, Tomb Raider Remastered
Lords of the Fallen joins PlayStation Plus on April 7 alongside Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered, giving the Hexworks Soulslike its biggest audience yet.

Hexworks' Lords of the Fallen spent two years finding its audience as one of the more demanding Soulslike releases of the current generation. PlayStation Plus is about to accelerate that considerably.
Sony confirmed the April 2026 Essential tier lineup on April 1, and subscribers can claim all three titles starting April 7. The window runs through May 4.
Lords of the Fallen, the 2023 action-RPG from Hexworks and CI Games, headlines the month. It's a distinct title from the older 2014 game sharing the same name, and it's exclusive to PS5 in this rotation. Critical reception praised its carefully crafted Soulslike design while noting that the pacing can feel restraining at times, which makes PlayStation Plus an ideal proving ground: players who might have passed on it at full price now have a frictionless entry point.
Alongside it, Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered brings the first three Lara Croft adventures into the lineup with visual updates and optional modernized controls. It's the only title in the April batch available on both PS4 and PS5.

Rounding out the month is Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream, the latest in the long-running anime action-RPG franchise. The game features a sizable roster of playable characters and cooperative boss content built around online multiplayer. It's PS5-only.
For Fractured Daydream in particular, the subscription bump stands to matter. Multiplayer titles see some of the clearest benefits from PlayStation Plus inclusion: a sudden influx of new players refills lobbies and makes cooperative content accessible again. Lords of the Fallen benefits differently. The game's reputation has been built largely by players willing to push through its deliberate pacing, and expanding that base through Essential could finally generate the widespread community activity the title has yet to fully achieve.
All three titles go live on PlayStation Store on April 7, with PS4 owners limited to Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered as the sole cross-gen offering of the trio.
