Rocket League patch v2.66 dropped on March 10, 2026 at 4 PM PT across all major platforms, kicking off Season 22 with a suite of competitive tools and quality-of-life updates that the ranked community has been wanting for a while.

The headline addition for most ranked players is visible MMR. It's opt-in: enable the setting and your MMR appears on Competitive Playlist tiles and on the end-of-match scoreboard after ranked games. The feature has no effect on Casual playlists, so casual sessions stay clean if that's the preference.

Playlist Population Numbers also made their return. "Playlist Population is once again visible in the Play Menu," the official notes confirmed. Hovering over any mode now shows its specific player population, giving players a real read on queue health before they commit.

The Flip Reset Indicator is the most technically interesting addition for anyone grinding mechanical skills. A new audio and visual cue now fires whenever a flip reset is achieved, which the patch defines as regaining a dodge by touching the ball with three or more wheels. "The visual effect is designed as a quick burst to reinforce the moment of reset without disrupting gameplay clarity." The indicator is only visible and audible to the player performing the reset or to spectators during live play, but it appears for all players in replays when the option is enabled. Disabling it in settings also cuts the effect during spectating.

Boost management got a visual upgrade as well. Large boost pads now display a recharge indicator that gradually refills over the 10-second respawn window, giving players a precise read on pad timing mid-match.

Season 22 also introduces a soft rank reset across all ranked playlists, consistent with previous seasons. The season includes new events, a Jordan-themed content line, weekly cash cups, and changes to ranked playlists and rewards, though full details on those components were not included in the patch notes excerpt.

Nintendo Switch players received a DLC entitlement update that aligns the platform with how DLC ownership already worked between PC and other consoles. The cross-platform entitlement applies only to DLC that exists on the other platform and is subject to regional availability limits.

On the bug fix side, Block Hoops lost a piece of wall graffiti that had been obscuring the net, and Beckwith Park variants had a cage element corrected that was blocking player view. Rumble received a fix for a power-up that was granting too early when activated immediately after a demolition. Cosmetic corrections addressed the Magnified car body trim color overriding selected paints, a rear panel color issue on the McLaren P1 when certain decals were applied, the Deep Space trail failing to appear in goal replays, and the Gravity Bomb goal explosion unexpectedly demolishing cars.

The patch notes also listed Override Boost Audio, New Quick Chats, Custom Training Settings Update, and Queue Menu Changes as headline features, though detailed breakdowns of those items were not included in the released notes.
