Hades II spent seven months locked to PC and Nintendo Switch 2 after Supergiant Games released the roguelike sequel on September 25, 2025. That changes on April 14, when the game arrives on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium, and PC Game Pass as a day-one addition, playable across cloud, Xbox Series XS, handheld, and PC. At $29.99 for a standalone digital purchase, it's the headline value play in a Wave 1 that spans 18 titles and runs from April 7 through late April.
The calendar starts now. Final Fantasy IV dropped today, April 7, on cloud, Xbox Series XS, and PC for Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium, and PC Game Pass subscribers. Square Enix's 1991 RPG following Cecil the dark knight, the dragoon Kain, white mage Rosa, and summoner Rydia through the Kingdom of Baron's campaign is the other "download first" pick alongside Hades II. It's already in the library with no wait required.
The wave continues with DayZ arriving on PC April 8, now joining Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium, Game Pass Essential, and PC Game Pass. FBC: Firebreak, the cooperative first-person shooter set within a mysterious federal agency under assault by otherworldly forces, also arrives April 8, expanding from Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass to now include Game Pass Premium. Planet Coaster 2 follows on April 9 across cloud, Xbox Series XS, and PC for Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium, and PC Game Pass. Tiny Bookshop arrives April 10, and Football Manager 26 in both its PC and Console editions lands April 13 for Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, and PC Game Pass subscribers.
April 14 is the wave's busiest single day. Hades II arrives alongside Replaced, the long-awaited cyberpunk 2.5D platformer set in an alternate 1980s America following an AI trapped in a human body, which launches day one on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. The Thaumaturge, a character-driven RPG with turn-based combat set in early 20th-century Warsaw, also joins that day on cloud, Xbox Series XS, and PC.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered and EA Sports NHL 26 follow on April 16, with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare added on April 17. Vampire Crawlers, the deck-building dungeon crawler, arrives April 21 as a day-one Game Pass addition. Kiln, Double Fine's pottery-themed brawler and the studio's first major first-party day-one release of 2026, closes out the confirmed schedule on April 23.

The urgency in this wave runs in the opposite direction, too. Grand Theft Auto V, Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, Ashen, and My Little Pony: A Zephyr Heights Mystery are all leaving Game Pass on April 15. Subscribers who want to keep any of the departing titles can purchase them at a discount of at least 20% before the April 15 cutoff, with GTA V and Eiyuden Chronicle carrying additional reductions through the Xbox Spring Sale 2026.

Hades II was only available on PC and Switch 2 when it launched in late 2025, which means a significant portion of the Game Pass audience is encountering Supergiant's sequel for the first time on a console. That context makes April 14 the practical start date for most subscribers' Wave 1 experience, even if the calendar technically opened a week earlier with Final Fantasy IV.
