The Northeastern Woodworkers Association is bringing its Totally Turning Symposium back to the Saratoga Springs City Center on March 28 and 29, 2026, with 48 woodturning demonstrations spread across six newly upgraded demo rooms. The two-day format runs four rotations per day in each room, giving attendees a dense schedule of turning instruction from national, international, and regional demonstrators under one roof.

Named demonstrators confirmed for 2026 include Donna Zils Banfield, Dennis Belcher, Matt Monaco, Kevin Jesequel, Eric Lofstrum, and Tod Raines-IRD, with several additional regional woodturners rounding out the roster. The organizers describe the event site, the Saratoga Hilton, as "a top shelf event center with great facilities and staff," and the hotel serves as both the venue and the host hotel, with a special Totally Turning room rate available for two guests.

Totally Turning runs concurrently with the NWA's Annual Woodworkers Showcase, and a single Totally Turning registration covers both events. The organizers are explicit on one access point worth noting: registration for the Showcase alone does not carry over to Totally Turning. On-site check-in opens around 4 PM Friday upon completion of setup, then restarts at 7 AM on both Saturday and Sunday. Coffee service and a lite breakfast are available to registered members each morning near the TT Registration Desk.

Beyond the lathe demonstrations, the event includes an instant gallery where turners can display their own work, a trade show, and a Showcase Store running on consignment for anyone looking to sell. Entry forms and guidelines for the instant gallery are available on the NWA's Instant Gallery page, and consignment details live on the Showcase Store page.

The organizers have also put out an open call for demonstrators based in the Northeast, noting in a post on the AAW Forum that "we cover most if not all expenses" for those selected. Anyone with questions about the symposium can reach the organizing team directly at totallyturningchair@gmail.com.
