Q Evon debuts sculptural birthstone jewelry at JCK Las Vegas
Q Evon is recasting birthstones as sculptural keepsakes at JCK, with ORIGINS built to mark milestones, loved ones and identity.

Subtle is over in birthstone jewelry. Q Evon Fine Jewelry is using its JCK Las Vegas debut to push the category toward sculptural, artful pieces that feel closer to wearable keepsakes than to the usual month-by-month gift case.
The Asheville, North Carolina, brand’s new ORIGINS line is built around that idea of personal symbolism. Q Evon describes the collection as a way to “empower individuals with bespoke pieces” that are “stylish and deeply personal,” meant to serve as reminders of milestones, loved ones and individual identity. That framing gives birthstones more emotional range than a simple color-coded ring or pendant, and it is exactly why the line reads as design-first rather than purely seasonal.
The brand’s identity supports that shift. Q Evon makes handcrafted artisan jewelry in a Western North Carolina studio near Asheville, and its work has long been rooted in one-of-a-kind pieces inspired by travel and culture. Designer Suzanne Q. Evon, who began designing at age 8 and later studied at Parsons School of Design, learned metalsmithing and fabrication there before building a business that started in 1992 and grew into hundreds of gallery and catalog accounts. Her background in wax carving and fabrication gives the birthstone concept more structure than sentimentality alone; the pieces are meant to be shaped as objects, not simply set with stones.

That matters on the JCK floor, where design language can make or break a debut. JCK Las Vegas runs Friday, May 29, through Monday, June 1, 2026, at The Venetian Expo, and the show says it draws more than 30,000 professionals from more than 130 countries across nearly 430,000 square feet of exhibition space. With the 2026 exhibitor directory live and third-party listings placing the roster near 1,894 companies, a first-time exhibitor has to arrive with a point of view, not just inventory.
Birthstone jewelry already carries that kind of built-in meaning. Jewelers of America traces the official U.S. birthstone list to 1912, and the Gemological Institute of America notes that birthstones hold personal lore around the world. Recent industry survey data also points to consumer appetite for jewelry with birthstones, which helps explain why Q Evon’s ORIGINS concept feels timely. The collection leans into a current desire for pieces that signal identity, memory and affection in one polished gesture, and that is what makes the debut feel more like an art-object statement than a conventional trade-show launch.
