Modani Jewels Names Andrea Lucille Pooler COO Across Three Brands
A bench jeweler turned industry consultant, Andrea Lucille Pooler brings 25-plus years across retail, wholesale, and manufacturing to lead operations at three Modani divisions.

Andrea Lucille Pooler, whose career began at a jewelry bench and expanded across retail ownership, e-commerce operations, and C-suite consulting, was named chief operating officer of Modani Jewels and its two sister divisions, Soham Diamonds and S.N.J. Creations, on March 12.
The appointment consolidates COO oversight across all three brands under a single executive for the first time, giving Pooler operational authority over a vertically integrated manufacturer with offices spanning New York, Ohio, Mumbai, Hong Kong, and Dubai. CEO Sumit Modani, who leads the third-generation family enterprise, framed the hire in direct terms: "Modani Jewels is pleased to welcome Andrea Lucille Pooler as its new Chief Operating Officer, strengthening the firm's leadership team as it continues to scale operations and accelerate growth."
Pooler's resume is notable for its unusual span. She ran her own jewelry brand and retail store as a designer from 2000 to 2015, then pivoted to the operational side of the business, eventually serving as operations manager at James Allen before joining Hill & Co. as principal consultant, where she led end-to-end business transformation and strategy for retailers, designers, wholesale businesses, and manufacturers. That arc from studio to storefront to strategy work is precisely the kind of cross-sector fluency that a vertically integrated group like Modani requires of a COO overseeing divisions that function at different points in the supply chain.
"This company has an inspiring heritage and a vision for the future that honors both tradition and innovation," Pooler said in a statement. "I look forward to helping scale our operations, strengthen global systems, and expand our presence in key markets."
In her own LinkedIn announcement, Pooler described the appointment as bringing together work she cares about most: "leadership, operations, merchandising, sales, team development, and building a strong business infrastructure to support long-term growth." She traced her trajectory explicitly, noting that she came up from the bench: "From my beginnings as a bench jeweler and designer to leadership roles across retail, manufacturing, wholesale, and consulting, I have always believed that great businesses are built by combining creativity with discipline, vision with execution, and people with process."
Beyond her executive roles, Pooler serves as editor in chief of The Source, the publication of the Community for Ethical Jewelry, and chairs the Women's Jewelry Association's Metro New York chapter. She also volunteers as a jewelry appraiser for a hospice store, a commitment that reflects an industry engagement well beyond the transactional.
Soham Diamonds, the group's foundational company, has evolved from a traditional gemstone and diamond business into a vertically integrated manufacturer since its founding as a family enterprise. That institutional depth, combined with Pooler's operational range and her specific background in e-commerce infrastructure, positions the Modani group to pursue the kind of international scaling that multi-office diamond businesses typically require when moving from family-controlled growth into a more structured global operation.
