Fifteen years after Natalie Portman clutched her Best Actress Oscar for "Black Swan" while wearing Paloma Picasso rubellite tassel earrings and Jean Schlumberger flame earrings in her hair, both from Tiffany & Co., the actress has formalized what was already a long-running love affair. Tiffany & Co. officially announced Portman's appointment as its newest global brand ambassador on Friday, March 13, 2026, two days before the Oscars broadcast that would serve as the campaign's public debut.

Anthony Ledru, president and CEO of Tiffany & Co., said in a statement shared exclusively with WWD: "Natalie's sophistication, authenticity, and intelligence resonate deeply with Tiffany & Co.'s values. Elegant and courageous, she effortlessly embodies the modern Tiffany woman. We are honored to welcome her to the Tiffany & Co. family as we continue to shape the future of luxury through powerful storytelling."

Photographed by Gordon von Steiner inside the brand's renowned Fifth Avenue flagship, The Landmark, the campaign features Portman wearing several signature Tiffany & Co. collections, including HardWear by Tiffany, Knot by Tiffany, Sixteen Stone by Tiffany, and T by Tiffany. One standout look features a full suite from HardWear by Tiffany, crafted in yellow gold and embellished with pavé diamonds, with the bold chain-link design adding a modern edge while maintaining the brand's classic elegance. In another striking image, she wears a Sixteen Stone by Tiffany necklace crafted in platinum and yellow gold, set with brilliant diamonds. Campaign imagery, described in detail across coverage, shows Portman in black evening gloves and dark attire, posed against a city skyline backdrop and a stained-glass lamp, with a close-up of a gold and diamond Tiffany ring against teal-textured background completing the series.

The campaign film made its public debut on Sunday, March 15, 2026, during the broadcast of the 98th Academy Awards. The film was co-directed by Brady Corbet and Mona Fastvold, both represented by Magna Studios, a London-based production company. Corbet directed "The Brutalist," which won three Oscars at the 98th Academy Awards and received ten nominations overall; Fastvold co-wrote "The Brutalist" with Corbet and directed "The Testament of Ann Lee." The two are also creative and romantic partners. Portman noted the significance of having a female director visible within the campaign itself, calling it "extraordinary to see, especially at the Oscars where hopefully we'll be celebrating many incredible female directors."

The campaign film is described as exploring five facets of love through Tiffany's diamond jewelry collection, with Portman moving through different dimensions of her own life as actress, producer, director, and mother, including unguarded moments like a hotel elevator scene at the end of a long day and interactions with her children.

The appointment builds on years of documented history between Portman and the house. At the 83rd Academy Awards in 2011, when she won Best Actress for "Black Swan," Portman wore Paloma Picasso rubellite tassel earrings and Jean Schlumberger flame earrings, both from Tiffany & Co., in her hair. More recently, she wore Tiffany's diamond Wave necklace, platinum earrings with diamonds, and an 18-karat white gold ring with diamonds to the Cannes Film Festival in May 2025. "I've really felt lucky to get to collaborate with them throughout my life," she said.

Portman expressed her own enthusiasm plainly: "It is an honor to be Tiffany & Co.'s newest global House ambassador. The House has an incredibly rich heritage and is beloved for its unparalleled craftsmanship and creative excellence. I am excited to be a part of the Tiffany & Co. legacy."

With this partnership, Portman joins an impressive roster of Tiffany ambassadors that includes Anya Taylor-Joy, Greta Lee, Mikey Madison, Chase Sui Wonders, and Rosé. The campaign continues a direction Tiffany has been building since the LVMH acquisition: long-form cinematic storytelling, auteur filmmakers, high-profile broadcast placement, and ambassadors selected for their cultural depth and authenticity rather than solely for their social media reach. For a house founded in New York in 1837, the choice of an Oscar-winning filmmaker with a nearly three-decade body of serious work signals something more considered than a standard celebrity endorsement; it is, as Ledru framed it, a commitment to shaping luxury through story.
