Pedro Jimeno proposed to Valentina Malagon on Oahu, Hawaii, with a custom 4-carat pear-shaped ring handcrafted by Nuno Rocha of DiamondBoi Designs. The June 6 proposal was built around a dinner ruse that turned into a remote beachside setup, complete with red roses, candles, a rose-heart arch and a sign reading, “Will you marry me?”

The ring is the kind of piece that does the heavy lifting visually: a 4-carat pear shape gives long lines, strong finger coverage and a center stone that reads larger than many round cuts of the same weight. Paired with custom craftsmanship, it lands squarely in the sweet spot between statement jewelry and attainable luxury, the lane where buyers want size, personality and a made-for-me feel without moving into extreme excess.

Pedro said he told Valentina they were headed to “the best restaurant” in Hawaii, then drove her about an hour away to the proposal site. Valentina said she was surprised, which fits the carefully staged setting: roses, candles and a presentation built to feel intimate rather than showy. Pedro later said, “Today we’re not just celebrating a ‘yes.’ We’re celebrating the moment when two paths, two stories, and two dreams decided to become one forever,” and added that Valentina “came into my life as an answer.”

The couple said wedding planning will begin soon, and they are still weighing where to marry. Pedro wants the Dominican Republic, Valentina prefers Colombia, and the United States is also on the table. That international back-and-forth gives the engagement an additional layer of personal symbolism, especially for a couple whose relationship has already played out across reality TV and personal milestones.

Pedro first met Chantel Everett in the Dominican Republic in 2016, and their 90 Day Fiancé engagement led to a marriage later chronicled on The Family Chantel, which ran for five seasons and ended in 2023. Pedro and Chantel split in 2022 after about five years of marriage, and Pedro was most recently seen on 90 Day: The Single Life season 5, where he introduced Valentina to viewers. Chantel announced her own engagement to Ashley Bowen in December 2025, making Pedro’s Hawaii proposal part of a very public new chapter for both former spouses.
