Shringar House of Mangalsutra Expands Production with New Kandivali Facility
Shringar House of Mangalsutra moved manufacturing to a 16,260 sq. ft. Kandivali plant, aiming to lift annual output from 2,500 kg to 4,000 kg with a ₹15 crore, internally funded upgrade.

Shringar House of Mangalsutra Limited has relocated its manufacturing operations from Lower Parel to a larger 16,260 sq. ft. facility in Kandivali, Mumbai, in a move that raises its targeted annual gold production to 4,000 kg from 2,500 kg. The company says the expansion is backed by an investment of approximately Rs. 15 crore financed through internal accruals, and commercial production at the new unit resumed on 23 February, 2026.
Chetan Thadeshwar, Managing Director of SHOML, framed the move as both strategic and operational. He said, “The inauguration of our new Kandivali manufacturing facility marks a significant milestone in our growth journey. Relocating to a larger, technologically advanced unit enables us to enhance operational efficiency, strengthen our infrastructure, and substantially increase our production capacity from 2,500 kg to 4,000 kg. This strategic upgrade positions us to better serve our partners, scale our operations, and meet the rising demand with greater agility and precision.”
Operational staging at the Kandivali plant is already under way. Artofjewellery reported: “Commercial production from the current capacity has resume from today i.e. 23rd February, 2026, while the incremental capacity addition is expected to be completed within the next three months.” That phrasing indicates an initial tranche of production is live and that the remaining incremental works to reach the full 4,000 kg-per-annum target are scheduled to conclude within a roughly three-month window from the resumption date.
The scale of the site more than doubles the company’s former footprint; the Lower Parel unit measured 8,300 sq. ft., while Kandivali totals 16,260 sq. ft. Numerically, the planned output increase represents a 60% rise in annual capacity - from 2,500 kg to 4,000 kg - a step-change intended to accommodate larger order books and heavier seasonal demand for mangalsutras and bridal jewellery, the company’s core lines.

Shringar’s stated operational objectives for the Kandivali facility include installing advanced machinery, upgrading technological and infrastructural capabilities, and improving efficiency to better serve trade partners. The capital outlay of approximately ₹15 crore has been reported as financed through internal accruals, a detail that underscores the firm’s self-funded expansion strategy.
Industry commentary framed the upgrade as timely for the organised mangalsutra segment; Whalesbook summarized the practical implication succinctly: “Capacity boosted significantly on efficiency gains; timely incremental completion is key.” If the three-month additions proceed on schedule, SHOML will convert the enlarged square footage and new equipment into the full 4,000 kg-per-annum capacity it has cited, positioning the company for an immediate increase in output and supply capability to its partners.
