Collanine Colorate brings colorful layered necklaces to Guest in Residence pop-ups
Collanine Colorate’s multicolor beaded necklaces are landing at Guest in Residence, signaling a brighter, more playful turn in necklace layering.
The return of beaded necklaces is finding a polished new stage at Guest in Residence, where Collanine Colorate will bring its multicolor, stackable styles to pop-ups in Los Angeles and New York. The move feels especially timely: after months of pared-back chains and minimalist layering, color, texture and a little nostalgia are making necklace stacks look fresh again.
The first U.S. stop will run at Guest in Residence’s Los Angeles store from May 21 to 23, 2026, followed by New York from May 27 to 29, 2026. The partnership grew naturally through stylist Margherita Moro, who has worked on Guest in Residence campaigns and used Collanine Colorate pieces to style the knitwear label’s ready-to-wear looks, especially versions finished with pearls and seashells. Guest in Residence’s Italian marketing manager later reached out after seeing the brand’s European pop-up activity, turning the connection into a trunk-show-style test of the American market.

Collanine Colorate, whose name means “Colorful Little Necklaces,” launched in 2020 from Lorenzo Franchini and Giacomo Giovagnoli with a simple idea: make jewelry that brings color and lightness to everyday dressing. The brand’s handmade Italian pieces are built from semiprecious stones, freshwater pearls, shells and glass beads, materials that give the necklaces enough visual variety to work one over the other without looking heavy. That mix matters. In a market saturated with slim gold links, these are necklaces designed to be seen, not tucked under a collar.
The company’s growth has been driven by word of mouth, influencers and an accessible price point, and it has used pop-ups in Madrid, Lisbon, Paris and France to test demand beyond Italy. It opened its first Milan flagship in 2024 on Via Mameli and began working that same year with a Milanese social cooperative founded in 1985 to help employ disadvantaged or vulnerable people. Franchini says the U.S. and France are the brand’s strongest international markets, and that sales rose 20 percent in 2025 versus 2024, with similar growth projected for 2026.

For Guest in Residence, founded by Gigi Hadid in 2022, the collaboration fits the brand’s retail identity: luxe but approachable, tactile but easy to wear. With stores at 21 Bond Street in New York and 433 N Beverly Drive in Beverly Hills, the label has become a natural setting for jewelry that feels more personal than precious, and far more shareable than the last round of stripped-down layering.
