Baccarat Hotel and The D Diamond launch bespoke canine diamond collars
A ruby flashed where a dog tag would usually hang. Baccarat Hotel New York and The D Diamond turned pet adornment into 18k gold and diamond fine jewelry.

A ruby flashed where a dog tag would usually swing, and that was the point. Baccarat Hotel New York and The D Diamond New York have turned canine accessories into bespoke fine jewelry, with collars and charms handcrafted in New York in 18k gold and diamonds and finished with a signature ruby reserved for Baccarat guests.
The Canine Couture Diamond Experience began on April 15, 2026 with a private in-room, champagne-infused appointment with The D Diamond founder Racheli Waters Shamir. The consultation costs $1,000 and is fully credited toward any commissioned piece of $7,500 or more, a structure that makes the entry point feel like a salon service and the ceiling unmistakably high luxury. In The D Diamond’s collection, the named pieces read like a miniature jewelry wardrobe for dogs: the Lucky Bone Collar, Heart Bone Collar, Chain Bone Collar, D Bone Collar, Love Bone Collar, DD Bone Collar, Lola Collar, Ululla Collar, Birthstone Bone Charm, and Paw de Luxe Charms. Prices climb as high as $78,103 for some collars.
At the launch, a French bulldog named Bubba modeled the collar inside Baccarat Hotel New York’s Petit Salon, a setting that suited the collaboration’s polished tone. Shamir said the idea grew out of her love of dogs and the dogs she rescued from an Los Angeles shelter, Luli and Fancy. She also said 10% of The D Diamond’s profits go to no-kill shelters around New York City, a detail that gives the collection more than just decorative theater. The philanthropic angle does not erase the opulence, but it does root the project in a real rescue narrative rather than a simple stunt.
That balance is what makes the collaboration notable. Baccarat Hotel New York already welcomes dogs with no additional fee, so the brand has framed pets as part of its luxury world rather than as an afterthought. This launch pushes that idea further, turning pet symbolism into a status object, a gift, and a personal marker all at once. The result is an extreme example of personalization culture moving into pet jewelry, where a collar can carry the same charge as an heirloom pendant: identity, affection, and wealth, all set in gold, diamonds, and a red ruby nod to Baccarat’s house code.
