Daisy Edgar-Jones's fingers tell the whole story. The British actress is photographed wearing Quatre Classique creations in yellow gold, white gold, pink gold, diamonds, and brown PVD, layering them with the kind of effortless accumulation that only works when the rings are thin enough to breathe. That is precisely the premise of the Quatre XS, Boucheron's new miniaturized iteration of its 2004 signature, which the Paris maison launched this month alongside a global campaign titled "Quatre Is Getting Mini."

Since its debut in 2004, the Quatre ring has been defined by four stacked bands, each drawing on the maison's signature design codes: architectural lines, the cobblestones of Place Vendôme, couture-inspired ribbons, and a row of diamonds. Together, these elements form a single graphic statement on the hand, instantly recognisable as Boucheron. The XS does not simplify that grammar. Slimmer than the existing Small Quatre, the XS model keeps the collection's fundamental language intact: Double Godron, Clou de Paris, a row of diamonds, and Grosgrain. Each motif remains present, simply translated into a finer, more stackable gauge.

The histories embedded in those four bands are not incidental. The Double Godron, first seen in the 1860s, speaks to Boucheron's fascination with structural form. The Clou de Paris offers a multifaceted homage to the cobblestone streets of Paris, while the Row of Diamonds, a design meant to symbolize eternity, originated in 1890. The Grosgrain's ribbed-silk texture carries a more personal lineage: it nods to Frédéric Boucheron's couture roots. Compressing all four into a slimmer profile is as much an editorial decision as a technical one, and the construction demands it be done precisely. These distinct bands are individually fashioned and then assembled by hand with a precision that reaches the nano-millimeter; a final soft click during manual assembly signifies that the piece is perfect.

The Quatre Classique Ring XS is priced at $4,990 (excl. tax), a meaningful step below the Quatre Classique Small Ring at $8,850, making it the most accessible entry into the four-motif universe. The Quatre Black Edition Ring XS, set in white gold with diamonds and black PVD, is priced at $5,500. Both carry 43 round diamonds totaling 0.13 carat, product reference JRG03330, and are available in 18K yellow gold, white gold, and pink gold, with brown PVD as an additional finish on the Classique.

Among the most considered additions to the broader XS launch are two new two-motif bands. Two new bands in yellow gold or platinum isolate just two motifs per ring: Grosgrain on one side, a nod to Frédéric Boucheron's draper father and the maison's couture roots, and Double Godron on the other. Turn the ring and the emphasis changes, fabric one day, architecture the next. It is a quietly witty way to wear a wedding or commitment ring while retaining the Quatre identity.

The Radiant Edition expands the drop further. The maison introduced new Quatre Radiant Edition pieces in monochrome white gold and diamonds, with studs and a tie necklace translating the collection's four codes into varied diamond cuts: round brilliant for Double Godron and the diamond line, baguette for Grosgrain, princess for Clou de Paris. The tubular bracelet unveiled in 2025 in Quatre's original palette now arrives in an all-white-gold, diamond-paved finish.

The launch is brought to life through the global campaign starring ambassadors Daisy Edgar-Jones and Han So-hee, joined by Dilan Çiçek Deniz. All three previously starred together in Boucheron's Winter Wonderland campaign, giving the trio a visual shorthand that the XS campaign uses to different effect: where the Winter Wonderland work was opulent, "Quatre Is Getting Mini" is cool and precise. Han So-hee brings what the campaign describes as a razor-sharp quietness, draping bracelets and rings across her wrist with total confidence, while Dilan Çiçek Deniz works the Black Edition in all-white-gold, diamonds, and black PVD against an all-dark look.

What keeps all of this coherent is the strength of the original design. The Quatre XS is available in the Classique and Black colorways, and can be picked up at Boucheron's New York boutique at 747 Madison Avenue.
