Mejuri debuts stainless steel jewelry for bigger, accessible everyday pieces

Billie hoops, Gia drop earrings and Lulu Loop studs open Mejuri’s first stainless-steel jewelry collection, a line that stretches from $78 to $168 and is built for office dressing, travel, and the kind of summer wear that needs to survive heat, water and repeat use. The new pieces keep Mejuri’s clean, minimal silhouette, but they arrive with more visual weight than the brand’s usual delicate chains and small hoops.

Founder Noura Sakkijha said the launch was design-led, not a reaction to rising gold and silver prices, even as the market made steel “more compelling” because it allows larger, bolder pieces while keeping prices accessible. Mejuri built its name on self-purchase and everyday wear, then broadened its materials mix to include natural and lab-grown diamonds, gold, sterling silver, vermeil, titanium and platinum.

The steel pieces are made from surgical-grade, PVD-bonded stainless steel, and the finish gives the line a crisp, polished surface that suits the brand’s pared-back aesthetic. JCK lists the Billie hoops at $78, Gia drop earrings at $148, Janis bangles at $168 for a set of three, and Lulu Loop studs at $128, a puzzle-piece-like design. The material is durable, waterproof and hypoallergenic.

Nicole Ghosn, Mejuri’s senior director of jewelry design, said steel expands the brand’s design opportunities while preserving comfort, transparency and quality. Mejuri launched in 2015 in Toronto as a direct-to-consumer jeweler and now has more than 700 team members and has sold more than 1.8 million pieces since inception. Forbes counted 56 retail locations, with in-store sales at 70 percent of the business and online at 30 percent.
