Laramie, Albany County Open FY27 Community Partner Grant Applications

The City of Laramie and Albany County closed their joint FY 2026-27 Community Partner grant application window on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, with all electronic submissions due by 5:00 p.m. local time. The program, which opened for proposals on January 7, marked a notable shift in how local nonprofits apply for government partnership funding: applications moved entirely to a Google-based online form this cycle, replacing whatever prior submission process was in place.

The joint funding program channels money from both the City of Laramie and Albany County to organizations that operate outside formal government structures but deliver services, products, or activities that benefit the broader community. Only nonprofit and not-for-profit entities were eligible to apply. The City's notice on its 406 Ivinson Avenue portal described the shift plainly: "The application process has moved to a Google Docs format, which you can access by clicking on this hyperlink: FY27 Community Partner Funding Application. Or, you can scan the inserted QR code."

Albany County framed the platform change as a practical improvement, noting the transition to Google Forms was intended "to make it more streamlined for the sponsoring agency as well as the City and County." Applicants needed a Gmail account to complete the form; Albany County Grants Manager Bailey Quick offered to arrange alternatives for organizations without one. One deadline remains active for organizations that received FY 2025-26 Community Partner Funding awards: those recipients are required to submit their Final Report, designated Attachment B, by no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, July 9, 2026. The City of Laramie has a printable version of Attachment B available through its website.

The City and County reserved standard administrative rights in the process, retaining authority to "waive any informality in any submittal and/or reject all proposals, and to accept proposals that are in the best interest of the City or County."
