Laramie City Council, Albany County Commissioners to Meet Jointly March 24
Laramie's city council and county commissioners hold their joint work session tonight at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall, with remote access via Zoom, Cable Channel 191, and YouTube.

Two of Albany County's elected governing bodies are sharing the same table tonight. The Laramie City Council and the Albany County Board of Commissioners are holding a joint work session at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall, Council Chambers, 406 E Ivinson Ave., bringing together municipal and county leadership for a coordinated discussion of shared priorities.
The City of Laramie confirmed the joint work session is scheduled for March 24, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. The meeting is open to anyone who wants to attend, whether in person at Council Chambers or remotely. Residents can join via Zoom webinar, Cable Channel 191, or YouTube.
Those attending via Zoom can connect using Meeting ID 851 8254 3704 and Passcode 494546. The City's posted notice included a "Zoom Link" field that was left blank; the full webinar URL can be obtained by calling the City Clerk's Office at (307) 721-5220. The agenda is expected to be posted on the City of Laramie's website on Friday afternoon; that same office can confirm the direct link.
Joint work sessions between the city council and county commissioners have become a recurring forum for aligning governance across Laramie and Albany County's unincorporated areas. At a prior joint session, both bodies agreed to appoint members to working groups, following shared discussions of individual priorities and ways the two elected bodies could best collaborate. Those groups addressed topics including the Casper Aquifer Protection Plan and environmental advisory issues, as well as high-priority growth areas and infrastructure.
The two bodies also share joint appointment authority over bodies like the Environmental Advisory Committee, which under local municipal code consists of seven members who must be qualified electors of Albany County, with at least two residing within Laramie's city limits and at least two in unincorporated Albany County.
City Hall offices are open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The general city line is 307-721-5200. For questions specific to tonight's meeting, the City Clerk's Office handles inquiries at (307) 721-5220.
