For every one-dollar Laramie Main Street spent in 2025, another $36 in private and public funds were invested downtown, the organization reported when it released its 2025 annual report in mid-February 2026. The report, published to local outlets on February 18, 2026, frames 2025 as a milestone year in a 20-year downtown revitalization effort and credits 16 net new businesses and 40 net new downtown jobs with part of that momentum.

Physical improvements figure prominently in the report. Public projects on Third Street and to City Hall are valued at $6.7 million, and the reconstruction and beautification of Third Street is listed among 2025 accomplishments. The report also highlights the infill and expansion of Big Hollow Food Co-op, fabrication and installation of wayfinding signage, the relocation and expansion of the Downtown Farmers Market, and additions to parking and improvements to pre-existing lots. LMSA counted 24 private repair and renovation projects valued at $1.5 million in 2025.

Business-level change in summer 2025 was detailed in the City of Laramie Director’s Report for July-August 2025 and is referenced in LMSA’s annual summary. New or returning downtown businesses recorded include Shear Rebellion Salon; Momstrologer; Laramie Peak Vision; Rachet’s Chop Shop; Vida Arts Studio; The Railyard; BattleSong Records; Range Coffee; Ridiculous Bungee Fitness; WyoLife Stim (expansion); The Green Oasis (expansion); Ruby’s Vintage (back downtown); Laramie Creative Reuse (pop up); Prism Real Estate (back downtown); and Sagebrush Tattoo (back downtown). The City report also lists closures: Curiosity Shoppe, Sweet Pickles, and Momo’s.

Downtown 2025

The City of Laramie report captured business outreach feedback from Laramie Jubilee Days, noting that “Businesses are frustrated by the trash and cooking oils spilled and not clean up after the street closures” and that “Restaurants struggle with food trucks parked in front of them.” The director’s notes also document economic pain points heard during downtown visits: high interest rates and hesitancy to make business loans, tariff and pricing unknowns, worried about job stability and debt, social isolation, and an observation that “Next generation isn’t drinking.” The report warns that “Three summers of construction have impacted sales and customer foot traffic - perception becomes reality and people stop coming downtown.”

LMSA tracked community support and direct services: volunteers donated 1,451 hours in 2025, valued at $50,480, and Main Street staff provided 209 business coaching and assistance sessions. The organization notes accreditation and recognition: LMSA is a Great American Main Street award winner, an accredited member of Main Street America, and a member of Wyoming Main Street, a program of the Wyoming Business Council. LMSA Director Trey Sherwood summed up the year: “The success of our work is reflected in the growth of local businesses, scale of physical improvements, vibrancy of community events, and the dedication of our board and volunteers.”

The 2025 annual report includes mission, board members, strategic priorities, lists of new businesses, events, marketing campaigns, financial highlights, and project inventories. The report was posted to Laramie Main Street’s website and announced on LMSA’s Instagram account; for a direct copy or questions, contact Jennifer Power, Communications Director, at marketing@laramiemainstreet.org. County5 and NewsBreak ran local coverage on February 18, 2026.
