Rasmussen Jewelers Offers In-House Repair Services at Laramie Location

The family-owned shop at 205 S. 2nd St. in Laramie performs ring resizing, stone resetting and full piece restoration on-site through its on-staff goldsmith, Rasmussen Jewelers announced in a company release March 30. Albany County customers can drop off items for assessment during store hours rather than shipping valuables to out-of-town repair facilities.

The Laramie location covers a broad range of bench work in-house: loose-stone resetting, ring resizing, clasp replacement, shank repair, professional polishing and restoration. Rasmussen Jewelers says the on-site capability reduces both turnaround time and the risk inherent in shipping high-value or heirloom pieces to offsite vendors.

The shop's process begins with an in-person assessment and estimate. A repair plan follows, along with a completion timeline provided to the customer. For pieces connected to insurance policies or estate documentation, Rasmussen Jewelers recommends requesting written estimates and records of completed work before leaving an item.

Michael and Stephenie Rasmussen own and operate the Laramie store, one of three Rasmussen Jewelers locations across the Intermountain West. The company also runs shops in Rock Springs, Wyoming and Spanish Fork, Utah, each offering in-house repair capabilities.
