3rd Annual Autauga County Sheriff's Rodeo Returns to Kirkpatrick Pavilion Feb. 27-28

Gates open at 5:00 p.m. at the R. H. Kirkpatrick Agricultural Pavilion in Autaugaville and the Professional Cowboy Association‑sanctioned Autauga County Sheriff’s Rodeo runs Feb. 27–28, 2026, organizers said. The pavilion is at 2224 AL‑14, Autaugaville, and sheriff’s office promotional posts list mutton busting for children at 6:00 p.m. both nights.

The Autauga County Sheriff’s Office provided the mutton‑busting rules and pricing: "Mutton Busting each night for Kids. $20.00 per kid, they will receive a free T‑shirt and the winner each night will win a buckle. Bring a helmet for your kids. First 25 kids to sign up each night. 60 lbs weight limit." Parents should note the 60‑pound cap and helmet requirement; organizers say enrollment is limited to the first 25 riders each night.

Organizers also laid out headline acts and competition features. "This year we will have Tim 'Wild Thang' Lepard & Team ghost riders. Funny man 'Showtime Myer'. $1,000 Bounty Bull each night and also Free Style Bull Fight," the Autauga County Sheriff’s Office wrote on its Facebook page. Promoters list a $1,000 bounty bull each night as a marquee prize element and a freestyle bull fight among the billed events.

Production and safety partners named by the sheriff’s office include 3R Rodeo Company as the stock contractor and "Legendary Rodeo Announcer Mr. Jerry Byrd," per the Facebook post. The office emphasized the event’s purpose: "This is a Professional Cowboy Association (PCA) sanctioned event. All proceeds support the Autauga County Sheriff's Foundation to purchase equipment and conduct more Community Events."

Ticketing instructions in official promotions direct buyers to the event’s ticket page and to the poster QR code for advance purchase; the county calendar specifically notes that military and law enforcement tickets "are also available at the Autauga County Sheriffs Office (ID required)." Secondary marketplaces list the rodeo on Feb. 27 and Feb. 28 but show event times as TBD and include standard resale warnings about prices above face value.

Organizers have not published general admission price tiers or a full event running order; the sheriff’s office provided gate and mutton‑busting times but did not list a nightly rodeo start time or adult ticket prices in its post. The sheriff’s office also said a presenting sponsor "will be announced very soon" and confirmed a Kids Zone sponsored by Jiffy Lube.
